I ordered these for a dear friend who lost her brother unexpectedly. Paid extra for same day deliver

I ordered these for a dear friend who lost her brother unexpectedly. Paid extra for same day delivery. The Flowers never arrived. When I called customer service they were not helpful. When I used the app, I will supposedly get $15 off on another shipment if placed within 24 hrs. Why would I order another product? Its a useless guarantee. There is no way to call the local florist directly "due to privacy reasons" so I have no idea if it was shipped to a neighbor etc. I do not recommend, call a local florist, and least you have the ability to fix a problem if one comes up.

Horrible and a real risk of food poisoning! My husband ordered red roses and chocolate covered straw

Horrible and a real risk of food poisoning! My husband ordered red roses and chocolate covered strawberries days in advance for Valentine's Day. He paid extra to get them delivered on time, even flex paid to get them a day early. We received the package two days later than the latest promised date, the strawberries were already fermenting, the chocolate was starting to melt, everything was warm. The ice pack had completely melted into warm water. The rose petals were brown on the outside and falling apart. The leaves, all fallen. We feel like we`ve been scammed. The price for all that was $133.72. We could have gone out to a very good restaurant for that price. We will ask for a refund, and if we get it, I'll gladly report it here.

Update: Customer service wanted to "make things right" by offering a "nice arrangement redelivered to the recipient, along with a $15 Savings Pass". We declined, insisted on the refund, and we received the refund one day later. We are happy with the customer service for solving the problem as soon as we complained.

"I was really disappointed with my order from 1-800-Flowers. The flowers arrived drooping and didn't look fresh at all. I contacted customer service, but no refund or replacement was offered. I strongly warn others to stay away, as I had a very poor experience."

This was awful. I ordered something and paid a lot of money for a particular item. My girlfriend received something that looked completely worse and was way different from what I had ordered. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Filing for resolution.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am submitting this formal complaint regarding a failed international delivery order placed with 1-800-Flowers, which reflects systemic service failures, misrepresentation, and unacceptable consumer harm.

Order Background

• Order Date: January 5
• Requested Delivery Date: January 10
• Delivery Location: Germany
• Recipient: My daughter (address and phone number were provided)
• Purpose: Important personal occasions
• Order Status: Never delivered

Despite the clear delivery window and ample lead time, the flowers were never delivered.

Repeated Failures and Misrepresentation

From January 10 through January 18, I made numerous attempts—via text and customer service—to determine the cause of the failure and to secure resolution. Throughout this period:
1. I was repeatedly told that customer service representatives had contacted the German florist “multiple times,” yet no resolution ever occurred.
2. I was informed that 1-800-Flowers has no direct contact information for the international vendors it does business with, relying instead on an internal messaging system with no accountability.
3. I proactively provided my daughter’s phone number in case pickup or delivery coordination was required. She was never contacted.
4. On January 18, I was told—without evidence—that delivery had been “attempted,” despite neither myself nor my daughter receiving any notification, call, or message.
5. Immediately following this assertion, I was offered a refund, effectively closing the matter without explanation or accountability.

Consumer Harm

While I was ultimately refunded the purchase price, the refund does not begin to compensate for the actual harm incurred:

• I spent approximately $5,000 in billable professional hours attempting to resolve a problem caused solely by your company’s failure.
• The flowers were intended for time-sensitive, meaningful occasions, and the opportunity was permanently lost.
• I relied on representations that 1-800-Flowers could competently manage international fulfillment—representations that proved false.

Systemic Concerns

Based on this experience, I have serious concerns that:

• 1-800-Flowers markets international delivery services it cannot operationally support.
• Consumers are not informed that there is no direct vendor accountability or communication.
• Refunds are used as a post-failure substitute for performance, rather than as a remedy for isolated issues.

If 1-800-Flowers lacks direct control or contact with its international vendors, then numerous consumers may be similarly affected, raising broader consumer-protection concerns.

Requested Action

I request:
1. A written explanation of why this delivery failed.
2. Disclosure of how international vendors are managed and supervised.
3. Confirmation of what safeguards exist to prevent this from recurring.

Absent a satisfactory response, I will consider escalating this matter through formal consumer-protection channels, including regulatory complaints and evaluation of broader consumer remedies.

This letter is submitted in good faith, but it also serves as a formal record of your company’s failure to deliver contracted services and the resulting harm.

Once a reliable service, but not anymore

This was once a dependable service, but that has changed. I ordered flowers for delivery on December 24th, but they informed me that the florist couldn't fulfill the order until Friday. I received an email claiming they attempted delivery, which is misleading! As of 6:15 PM on the 26th, there's still no delivery, and now I'm told to wait until 8 PM! My daughter also tried to send me flowers for Christmas, and they haven't arrived either! The customer service is terrible, with each representative giving different information. I will not use this service again!

Avoid This Ordering Method

AVOID THIS ORDERING METHOD! They rely on low-quality florists. I ordered a festive floral arrangement for my boss, but what arrived looked nothing like the picture and was poorly made. I called to express my disappointment, and the replacement was even worse. I will NEVER order flowers from this service again.

Disappointing Delivery Experience

I ordered a Winter Wishes bouquet for a friend at $75, excluding delivery. The photos showed lovely white mums, roses, blue accents, and greenery. What I received was quite disappointing: white carnations, a single painted-blue pink rose, dried evergreen branches, and burnt pinecones. The only item that matched was the vase. I was embarrassed by the photos my friend sent me. I gave 2 stars solely because the support team issued a 50% credit for the mistake. However, this is the second time in two years that my orders have been unsatisfactory. It seems there’s a lack of care regarding the local florists they use and no clear quality control. I cannot recommend them and will not order again.

Unfulfilled Sympathy Order

I ordered sympathy flowers for my aunt and paid for same-day delivery, but they were never delivered. The tracking indicated an attempted delivery, but my uncle, who was home all day, checked the cameras and confirmed no one came. I strongly advise against using this service.
