When I read the ad on Facebook I immediately knew that the person claiming to have gone to Sardinia had never set foot on the island in her life. They do not drink very over priced olive oil they use normal olive oil available in all supermarkets. They use ordinary olive oil in cooking and extra virgin olive oil in salads and garnishes. I know this as I lived there for many, many years. The Mediterranean diet is extremely healthy with lots of fresh fish and veg. So longevity is due to a healthy lifestyle as well as clean air and fantastic social life.Apologies it was not Facebook that I saw the ad on, it was eBay. The thing that angered me into writing the review was the extortionate price. Yes olive oil is good for you, you can eat it, put it on your hair and skin but do not have to pay a great amount. If people can afford to pay this OK ordinary olive oil will have the same effect. Just remember the best results come from using it from birth.
Overly aggressive company. I find Aeons marketing tactics unnecessarily aggressive and their customer care non-existent. If you subscribe to their products you will get no warning before another large shipment is about to be purchased on your behalf, even if it is a six monthly recurring subscription of significant expense. Once you have the shipment notification which is the first you'll hear about it, it is too late to cancel or pause the subscription, or delay if you still have tonnes of product like I had. After viewing another product of theirs online I had several follow up calls pushing me to buy the product despite the fact that I explained I could not afford both of the very expensive subscriptions they were trying to push on me. I have written to their 'customer care' team but had no response whatsoever (over 6 weeks ago). My advice is to avoid this company - the cost is high because they are paying a marketing team to aggressively push their products on everyone they can get the contact details of.
I've now been using Aeons Ancient Roots Volcanic Extra Virgin Olive Oil for about a month, and its daily usage has definitely improved my over-all condition.
