Frustrating Experience with Claim Process

Submitted a travel claim for a declared pre-existing medical condition and sent all necessary documents as instructed. They requested a GP letter, which I provided at my own expense. Now they are asking for a full medical certificate to proceed with the claim, requiring additional payment. This has been a frustrating process, and it seems there is a lack of coordination within the team. Insurance through a bank.

Caution Before Choosing Insurance from This Provider

I urge you to consider this before selecting any insurance from this provider. I bought global travel insurance plans for both my departure and return trips. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, I had to cancel my travel plans. When I initiated a claim, they informed me that they would not refund the return portion, which was the most costly part of my purchase. I struggled to communicate with heavily accented representatives who redirected the issue to the airline, despite having paid for the insurance in full. I strongly discourage using their services, as obtaining refunds for legitimate reasons feels like an insurmountable challenge. It has been incredibly frustrating and a significant waste of money. It's a classic case of switch and bait.

Beware! They ignore you and you'll lose your money

I have been attempting for three and a half years to receive compensation for a flight cancellation where I am owed a refund. They request documents (if they respond at all) and then just ignore you. This is not a legitimate company—it's a complete scam!

Avoid this provider for insurance, terrible claims service

I have experienced appalling treatment, with no money back after four months of constant calls and emails. I’m utterly disgusted. I keep being told I will hear back in 5-10 days, but I never do unless I reach out. The phone representatives are friendly but can’t provide any real information, claiming they have all my documents but can't escalate my case. I had to cancel my holiday due to my father’s serious health issue just days before our flight. They have all the necessary medical documents and cancellation paperwork, so what’s the hold-up? Isn’t this what insurance is for? I’ve never claimed anything before.

Customer service failed to respond...

The customer service did not address my question. Instead, I received a generic auto-response and then no follow-up. I ended up getting secondary insurance because I couldn’t get the necessary answers about my policy. Very disappointed and I won’t purchase from them again.

They avoid paying claims

I booked a trip right as the government shutdown began, and as a federal employee, I didn't anticipate the shutdown lasting this long. I had a family cat diagnosed with a terminal illness, and while I knew they don’t cover pet-related claims, I filed for the shutdown as I hadn’t been paid in over a month. No luck; they issued a notice stating they wouldn’t pay claims due to the shutdown, rendering my expenses pointless. I will never use them again.

Frustration with claims process

Our trip was canceled due to my wife's sudden cancer diagnosis. We contacted them, and they said this provider is handling the claim. It has been a nightmare, as they keep asking for clarifications despite having all the information already. It feels like they want to wear us down so we stop pursuing our claim. They have copies of the ticket value and the airline's refund offer; it’s all there, and it’s incredibly frustrating.
