It’s very weird. They seem to be pushing specific strains on you. They are hoping you are cannabis naive. The first time I tried to talk to the doctor was weeks ago. And then with the one day, I got approval from the doctor. He did not want to hear or talk about anything to do with strains. If you are looking for choice as a consumer or patient, for me, I have very bad pain. I needed a choice in the strains. They did not even give me a chance to talk about it before hanging up which I thought was very weird. Then they give you this script with many repeats for a particular strain that they’ve decided for you. You literally get no discussion about the strain. And then when I receive the product it was mouldy. And not a little mouldy. As an experienced marijuana user from over 20 years with pain from autoimmune degeneration. I could tell they had repackaged half good weed with half mouldy weed trying to get rid of certain product. Now I don’t know whose idea this was it alternatively. But I’m assuming from the TGA report and the TGA court findings and proceedings going on right now in Australia. That they’re trying to push mouldy bad quality and lack of choice for consumer. I would not go here I would wait for an in person clinic. And get approval with a doctor in person next to a dispensary. It may take a week or 2 to get an appointment but you will possibly be able to pick what strain you have even at the first time. Alternative leaf has now rebranded as leaf doctors to avoid the court proceedings. And it tells me that they are typically doing the wrong thing over and over and over again. Now when I said I needed to return the weed for it it’s mouldy and it smells so bad like a typical Queensland flooded basement after the floods. There was no weed smell. This was not a natural product this was a disgust. Type smell. And if you were to smoke this, I would think you would probably get very unwell. So not only now is the refund process over two weeks long. They are sending me another product which I have no choice over no one no Doctor No one leave doctors or alternative leaf said anything or gave me any choice. And now they start the whole process all over again. Their refund policy online states if you don’t open and return the package it’ll be okay. But that’s actually not part of the legal proceedings for marijuana in Australia. If you open your container and it is not good quality or mouldy per se, especially mouldy mites or a brown discolouration from age or incorrect storage. They are obviously pushing weed that is no good. And if you’re a pain patient that can’t get out of the bed in the day without a good quality sativa specifically exactly what you need and no has been tried and trialed. You will get no choice with this company. They will push strains onto you and make you pay even more than a normal script. So I paid $130 and got mouldy stuff with no choice. I think they know exactly what they’re doing and if your weed naive you’re probably gonna be so happy to receive these buds but you don’t realise that they’re mouldy. Or dried out to a point all the THC is gone. When you live in Australia with an Australian summer you better be putting that in a slight cool area even a refrigerated area or a freezer. For long-term storage, it’s like your bread. Would you leave your bread out in an Australian summer of 45°C? over months of 45°C? Probably not right. If you wanted to keep that bread, you’d probably freeze it right? All I know is they are pushing some dodgy weed and if you’re sick like me just wait a week or two mate don’t do it because if you’re on a disability pension and you pay money for this stuff you’re not even gonna have money to go and see an in person doc. I’m outright disgusted. I’m a registered nurse needing to go to work. And they have done the wrong thing. This is so obvious from my experience dealing with cannabis and medical cannabis. These people are something to watch out for if you’re unwell. Be very very careful. They are pushing certain strains obviously because they know somethings wrong with it and by the time you wait for a week to refund it they know most people will smoke it and their returns policy is wrong online by the way. Even if you open it, you should be able to get a refund. Report them to the TGA.
I love how fast my order gets processed and delivered. The price is reasonable with the discount applied. The quality of the product is of a high standard. 🙃
The thing i dislike is the consults every few weeks. At my age i have a high tolerence and no unwanted side effects, due to a long history of using this for pain relief and insomnia. If i had any concerns or problems i would request a consult. I think the prescriptions should have a lot more repeats / or be available in larger quantities. I also realize people have individual needs and reasons for choosing this treatment, and as such, it should be up to the GP to assess each patient individualy.
Initially, the service was excellent when I started two years ago. However, my recent experience has been frustrating as they decided to drop me as a patient, claiming my conditions are 'too complex.' These are the same conditions they accepted before! During the sudden consultation, I was not given the necessary discharge letter to seek alternative care, forcing me to follow up myself. I will be addressing this matter with the support team and exploring options through the health commissioners' offices.
The service was commendable when I first started with them two years ago. I was with this service a few years ago but left due to work-related issues. Now that I'm back at work, I want to return to the only medication that has truly helped me, but the process has been incredibly difficult. I've been waiting since mid-November, and the doctor keeps delaying. It feels like I'm being punished for seeking help with my depression, and I still don't know how much longer I have to endure this.
I’m extremely disappointed. I've paid for multiple prescriptions, only to be informed repeatedly that the items are out of stock. Each time, I’m required to pay for a new script to try a different item, with no guarantee it’ll be available. I even requested backup options in advance to avoid running out of essential medication, but was told that’s not possible. Despite reaching out for help, my emails go unanswered for days. For a service that claims to support those in need, the lack of empathy and responsiveness is shocking. Instead of relief, I’m left with added stress.
My experience has been very poor. They often discontinue products without providing alternatives. While they suggest requesting a change through my doctor, they ignore these requests and require a new appointment, charging extra for it.
For nearly a week, I was unable to log into my patient portal to place an order. After a lengthy hold, I managed to place an order only to be informed the next day that I had reached my limit, despite being told otherwise by staff. Now, I'm left waiting for a refund. This service is not worth the hassle.
