The company is extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. We moved from Texas to Wisconsin. They packer arrived without the supplies I requested and paid for. They wrapped our TVs in our own comforters and then tapped a box around it. One person showed up in the moving truck, unloaded our belongings and told us no one notified him it was a two story house and he would not carry our things to the rooms allocated. His help never arrived, and he ended up placing boxes where ever they fit. Now I’m trying to get compensated for a tv, mattress, lamp and boxes that we didn’t receive. No one provided us with the paperwork to determine if received all of our items in Texas. The company owner sent me a made up inventory list that listed items we didn’t even have.
Had them move my daughters items from Texas to Connecticut. No communication after pick up then the driver Nash held my daughters items hostage until she paid the “new” charges upfront. Mow the service caller was useless and literally told me to file an insurance claim with the company to get money back, even if there was no damage or missing items. Dishonest and unprofessional. Will never record or use company again.
Would not recommend. We had 50+ smashed boxes. We requested our property be delivered 27th of May '22. We had 3 truckloads. The 1st truck load was delivered 27 May. The 2nd truckload a week later. As of this feedback, we have not received our 3rd truck load of furniture. 8 Sep 2022, Feedback on your reply. We initially asked your company to deliver our household goods on May 22, 2022; however, 10 May 2022, your company was called to address the issue of not sending the 18 Wheeler to ship our household items. During that same phone call, we verified with your company's representative that your company could store our household items for 30 days with no additional charge. Your company's reply was "yes". At that time we inform your representative that we needed to have our household goods stored because we may not be closing on our house in Florida as originally plan. That's when your company's representative's reply was "no problem" and he then explained that we needed to give the company a call when we were ready. But your company needed 5 to 7 days lead time. We did not call your company until we closed on the new house in Florida. My husband and I talked to 3 different people from your company. Therefore we were not aware of the actions your company had taken until you called us to inform us that the truck was 3 hours out. We reiterated the previous conversations that we had with your company's representatives. We explained that we did not close on the property on the 20th May as planned. And we did not have a place to accept the shipment. Again this was explained to your company on 10 May 2022. Your company's representative explained to us "to call back when we want the household items delivered." If anyone values their household goods, do not use these two companies (Belmont Moving Services OR A&M Moving Services.) What's our compensation for all the broken items 60 cents to the Pound NOT the replacement cost. Added bonus they requested that we sign acknowledging we received all of our goods and it was received in Good condition PRIOR to them unloading the truck. I am a disabled Veteran and considered a Senior Citizen at 64. We have moved all over the World and have never seen the amount of damages this company has done. Our last shipment the company only was sent the truck driver to unload. If we wanted our goods, we had to help unload the truck. My husband and I are legally disabled. That's why we hired this company. We didn't get the truck unloaded till 9 p.m. September 9th 2022-RESPONSE to your company's comment--NO SIR. We notified your company on 10 May 2022 (before the first truck left our old house), we needed your company to store our household goods. Due to the fact that we might not be closing on the new home as originally planned. We kept copies of all the communications between your company (to include the people you hired off Craigslist, and the truck drivers and packers) and us. Including the extra $10K, you charged us. After the 10 May 2022 communications, we were not aware of you sending a truck until you called us to tell us that the truck was 3 hours out. Every homeowner knows the house is not your until the paperwork is signed. We stand by our comments.
I had the move from hell and while most of the blame falls upon Venture Van Lines (the original broker), A&M didn't make things better. I travel for work so needed delivery when I knew I'd be home, which Venture promised. Delivery came on a Tuesday with me out of town, not present to verify everything had been delivered. They lost/damaged over $1,000 worth of items, including my grandmother's antique chair. It took nearly 2 months to process the claim and they are offering me $135 so I am contacting an attorney. I considered giving them 2 stars because Ahmed did communicate and was helpful when filing my claim, but their handling of the missing/damaged items is unacceptable.
