I ordered 20 mercury dimes and a roll of Franklin half dollars from Apmex for my collection . The dimes were advertised as BU (brilliant uncirculated) .. Package tracking with usps said items were due to arrive Thursday so I took the day off to be available to sign for delivery. Package did not show up on Thursday. Items (value appreciated $1000) left on my porch by usps. Luckily the package wasn’t stolen. When I opened the packages I found the Franklin coins to be mostly in good condition but the Mercury dimes were far from BU as advertised. Some of them looked like they’d been in the bottom of a trash can for 20 years. They were scratched, worn, and corroded to the point where they’re unsellable and in my opinion uncollectable… not ok guys.. when I paid well over $300 for the 20. Also, each Dime had been placed in its own separate plastic bag so someone had to have looked at them before shipping them out. I immediately called to ask for replacement coins but the apmex rep I spoke with told me they were out of Mercury dimes so they could only refund my money. Between the time I ordered and received the coins silver had gone up from low $80’s to over $93 per ounce so I asked if I ordered the same coins again could I get them for the same overinflated price I originally paid. The rep said no, he couldn’t do that. I decided to just keep the coins and take the loss. I will say that I was not happy at all with the price or the quality of the coins I purchased. Also, it was irresponsible of usps to leave the package on my porch. All things considered I will not likely buy from apmex again.
I’ve been a member with APMEX for many years, I ordered just a couple ounces of silver, they are located in Oklahoma City. The tracking for the silver shows it never left Oklahoma City. This went well over a month, every time I spoke to APMEX, I always got the same answer that they were investigating. I finally had enough, I had to file a complaint with the BBB just to get at least my money back. I’m going to warn anyone if you have an issue with APMEX, good luck on any type of resolution as they are in no hurry to refund you or send your order back. You figure since it never left Oklahoma City through investigation wouldn’t take more than a day or two. Moving forward I am going to JM bullion.
Do not order from APMEX
I ordered 10,000 worth of gold and silver.
Going on over a month and still have not received anything!
They make it hard to see their reviews
So I didn't see all the bad reviews before I ordered!
they increased my shipping in the last moment and then when i cancelled the order because of ups and tarrifs . they want me to pay tarrif and tax fees all the same. even thow it never left the boarder the shipper has it ...ups /... ups is the rip off here facilitated by apmex cause they're not complaining they are the ones i have to pay .wtf and ups messages me by texts at 2 am and when i call back they're closed .
No communication in over 3 weeks (since they took payment from my card), this was not a large order, actually only one item, they have also had a habit of changing offers after you place an order.
I ordered items for holiday gifts and kept receiving messages about delays in the shipment date, despite the website indicating that the product was in stock. This raised questions about the reason for the shipping delays for over a month. The updates were inconsistent, and when I decided to cancel, they imposed a 5% fee. It feels like they are holding onto customers' money, which accrues interest while we wait for products that never arrive, and when we cancel, we only receive a partial refund. I canceled after a month of waiting and several emails regarding the shipping delays.
There appears to be a persistent problem with the accuracy of silver price reporting. Last night, they claimed that silver was over 80 an ounce, but the 24-hour history this morning showed it never reached that level. This has happened multiple times this week.

This has been the worst credit card application experience I've encountered. Despite having an excellent credit score, low debt, and a substantial income, I received no communication for two weeks after applying. When I called, they couldn't find my information. A month later, I was informed via email that my application was declined, which is unprecedented for me. Due to this experience, I will cease my purchases from this service.
I had a rather unusual encounter. I attempted to purchase silver dollars using a card after considering a check payment online, but the amount of information requested was overwhelming, possibly due to the service they used for transactions. This frustrated me a bit. I learned that Washington State would impose a sales tax starting January 1, 2026, which is quite steep. Ultimately, I decided to proceed with the purchase of the silver dollars, aware that card payments incur higher fees. I received confirmation for my order placed on December 28, 2025, with the funds deducted from my account the following day. However, on January 5, I noticed a delay notification on their site. I waited, considering the business days, and heard nothing. On the 6th, they informed me that my order was on hold due to sales tax owed. I inquired and was told that my order was under review with IT. I appreciate their honesty, which is why I rated them a 3. They apologized for the delay on January 8, 2026.
