Event tickets are genuine, however I cannot in good faith recommend attending one of their events because they lack organisation, communication, and staff are frequently rude and condescending, especially to young women.

Wristband/ticket distribution time is not stated on the ticket and happens whenever the staff want to, which makes it impossible to plan for arrival. We had an issue where we asked staff what we should do in the case of an incomplete party, as wristband distribution began 3 hours earlier than the stated time on the ticket, and followed staff instructions. When our group was complete, they then informed us that we had voided our tickets due to a technicality in their digital system, despite us doing what staff had asked us to. There is a complete lack of clarity and communication, and staff seem to change and adjust rules whenever they like, however they like. When discussing this with staff they were rude, condescending, and dismissive. Two male staff members in particular constantly speak down to female attendees as if they are children, an attitude that seemingly vanishes as soon as they speak to a male attendee. Their customer service Whatsapp is similarly rude and impolite.

For this event, wristbands were distributed without following number order, but upon returning to the line for entry, staff claimed that everyone needed to line up according to the number of their wristband, before taking the comment back again. The complete lack of organisation meant that queuing was a matter of pushing and shoving and lacked any sort of order. Those attending the event with priority tickets were placed in the same queue as everyone else, and their priority status, despite paying for a membership where priority queuing is part of the product, did not impact where they were in the line. For this event, they then informed people in the queue that they would have to enter and wait in fan pens for the event, despite multiple people saying they wanted to simply watch the film, and told them that “is not an option”. Not long after, they then began another queue for people who were solely going in to watch the film.

It is beyond me how this company can continue to run these high-profile events considering how frequently these issues seem to occur. While tickets are genuine, if you are to attend an Applause Store event, I would warn you to be ready to be spoken down to, for a complete lack of communication, and for the rules to change on a whim depending on how staff feels.

you sale system is horrible. You give people tickets and make people wait for hours just to not get into the fan pen for the BAFTAs. It makes no point to oversell tickets, if people don’t come then then that’s when you should advertises more people to come. Giving people wristband early at like 7 or 8 makes no sense. You should have a set time of when people can come. Fix this it is horrible and wasting people time.

BAFTA 2026

I was awarded two general tickets to attend the BAFTA Awards red carpet and arrived at the designated meeting point 30 minutes before the advertised time, as instructed. Unfortunately, I was then informed that all the tickets had already been allocated. Naturally, this was extremely disappointing. What made the situation even more frustrating was the strict dress code that had been heavily emphasised beforehand. We were clearly told that only smart attire would be accepted due to the high-profile nature of the event, and that anyone not appropriately dressed would be refused entry. I made a real effort to comply, arriving suited and booted for the occasion. However, it became apparent that others were being admitted regardless of dress code, with people wearing baggy jeans, multi-coloured coats, jumpers, and sports trainers. It felt like a complete waste of time making such an effort when the stated requirements were not being enforced consistently.Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Avoid priority membership and save your money!

As per some other reviews, do not purchase priority membership! It puts you at a severe disadvantage of getting tickets as they haven’t got the capacity to allow priority tickets to all their paid members. Worse decision I made and definitely would not renew so make sure you cancel their auto renewal. Since I took out a priority membership 12 months ago I have only got into 1 event out of about 10+ I applied for and that was an event that was undersubscribed and they let random people in anyway. The terms and conditions state membership doesn’t guarantee tickets which I understand, but I find it interesting that many friends who don’t have priority membership got into all the events I had applied for. It is also interesting that the ‘random allocation’ of tickets for annual events also go the same people every year. Applause store is meant to offer a fairer chance for different people to get into events but this does not seem to be the case. Many events were better managed before applause store took over a lot of them.

Check t’s& c’s before you buy priority

I’d had a couple of tickets for BGT , had a good experience , the problem started when I got priority membership Couldn’t get tickets for anything I applied for I got confirmation email for auto renew , which I wasn’t aware was set up , of the priority membership , I emailed , txt , WhatsApp message them , took a while for WhatsApp reply . Told them the problem , they said contact PayPal ( which I don’t use ) Told them this , they said that’s the only way They got quite rude . So I found a number for pay pal , rang them and recorded the conversation and sent it via WhatsApp , telling me the refund could only be generated by applause store , they said it was A I generated , I showed them the number id called , they said that too was A I generated I told them id got a number off applause store web site , called it but no answer , they told me applause store doesn’t have a web site of any phone numbers , even tho id sent them screenshots of them I posted on applause store facebook page , all these details I strangely had my post deleted and I no longer can find the applause store page But I did end up with a refund 4 days later

Disappointing process

Disappointing process. We've been let down for two shows now. The staff have an attitude problem and roll off the same speech when tickets are unavailable. Priority access tickets do not work so don't be fooled into thinking they are a genuine offer. We won't use these guys again although fully appreciate that they will fill seats anyway unless someone at Applause Store develops a conscience or if the TV shows stop using them.

Bad organisation

Me and my mom came from Croatia to see ST5 because as it said on internet “If someone doesn’t show up there will be last minute seats” but when we came they told us that there will be no last minute seats and that they can’t do anything… Also why are they giving tickets to people 24h before, because how is it even possible to come like that if you live in another country???

Guaranteed Entry’ Doesn’t Mean Guaranteed with Applause Store

I was really disappointed with my experience with Applause Store. My mum, nan, and I had “guaranteed entry” tickets for Celebrity Deal or No Deal. We travelled several hours and I took a day off work, only to be told less than two hours before the show that our tickets were cancelled due to over-subscription — while production guests without tickets were admitted instead. When we contacted Applause Store, they hid behind their terms and conditions and shifted blame to the production company, claiming they’re just a third-party provider. Their T&Cs completely contradict the tickets, which clearly state in bold red letters: “THIS TICKET GUARANTEES YOU ENTRANCE INTO THE STUDIO.”
