Have shopped at aqua essentials a few times with no troubles. When purchasing a co2 system a singular part wasnt functioning properly. I emailed and within 3 days a replacement solenoid arrived at my door with complementary components for the hassle. Very pleased with the service and would recommend to anyone in the aquarium hobby.

Perhaps it's my lack of fishkeeping skills or my fish but my experience has been mixed and the plants have introduced snails that I am finding different to eradicate. My Crypt Spiralis Red is doing OK, but my Spiralis Tiger and Ustriana have hardly grown. Is it because I only dose with liquid CO2?
Nice clear website, easy to find plants and a good description to help know how difficult each plant will be to keep. They seem to sell out quickly too which is good to see because you know the plants are fresh, not old been waiting around. I'm still novice so went for some 'easy' plants. They arrived quickly and were very healthy, not straggly. I kept mine in a bucket of original tank water with fertiliser for a few days and found no unwanted hitchhikers. Just ordered some more so we'll see how they go. I just have to keep them all alive now. Overall great plants, great service.
Ordered something as a Christmas present. Unfortunately it was no good but they would only give store credit and not a refund as I could not return within 2 weeks. Most companies allow a little extra time to return over Christmas as you don’t want to leave buying presents until last minute. Store credit not much good when you don’t have fish tanks yourself.. Timeline of events:Ordered - 9th DecemberReceived - 11th December.Requested refund via website as advised - 25/12 (14 days from receipt and as soon as I knew it was no good).Received response from Aqua Essentials - 30/12 if I had received an earlier response could have posted before I went on holidayI advised on 30/12 that I had gone on holiday and would not be back until 6th January. I was advised that this was not a problem. At no time was I told it would be a store credit.Goods Returned - 7th JanuaryGoods Received by Aqua Essentials- 8th January.
Aqua Essentials is my “go to” for aquarium plants. I’ve shopped with them several times and yes, they’re a bit pricey vs local stores BUT the variety is great, the quality top notch and the service is superb. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who’s interested in learning more about aquatic plants. They are also on hand for tips, help and guidance when needed. Recommended to new and experienced hobbyists.
We have ordered spiderwood rocks and a plant bundle for 100L tank - the plants were in wonderful condition and snail free and following your advice we also ordered the plant fertiliser our tank look amazing - thanks for the helpful tips Steve Cole
