Auto protect is a lone shark company. People beware. I have paid nearly all the $3000 fee to this company and I finally had 1 tiny claim todate: may 1, 2025. I will cancel. Nissan dealership service dept. Can NOT get an approval or denial on my claim. Nissan dealership found out what is wrong with my truck: it needs a new thermostat but after many calls to auto protect approval or denial NEVER ANSWERED. I tried calling them as well and I got the 3rd degree with auto protect. They were asking me many many "you are being recorded questions" they want to find any loophole to DENY MY SMALL CLAIM even though I am almost all paid up. I was so mad .... questions questions questions!!!!!! I ONLY CALLED FOR A SIMPLE "ANSWER" ARE you approving dealership claim?????? Their answer " you have to wait 2-3 days for our review of dealership claim they turned. My truck has been at dealership 1 week AND STILL NO WORD FROM AUTO PROTECT!!!! I NEED TO CANCEL THIS HORRIBLE POLICY. CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL TRY TO GET OUT OF PAYING CLAIM. YOU WILL NEVER GET AN ANSWER FOR CLAIM TURNED IN BY DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. I HAVE CALLED MANY TIMES AND WAS ONLY PUT ON HOLD. DEALERSHIP HAS NEVER RECIEVED ANSWER, NOR PAYMENT. I BELIEVE IN INSURANCE.. BUT INSURANCE DOES NOT BIEVE IN ME, NOR NISSAN DEALERSHIP. PEOPLE PLEASE DO NOT PAY THESE LONE SHARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ONLY ANSWER WHEN YOU ENROLL TO TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT NEVER PAY FOR CLAIMS.
If I could give them a -0, I would! Feel as though this company is harassing/bullying me by using SCARE TACTICS! I DO NOT need a company that I don’t even know, telling me that I am neglectful. I have reported them to the BBB and the FTC on a couple of occasions and they still send their “IMMEDIATE RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE IS REQUESTED” form. I plan to report them again! This is BLATANT HARRASSMENT AND INVASION OF PRIVACY! They claim to delete your car info, which they have on file on a specific date. How did they obtain information about my car info in the first place? I find it interesting that they keep sending the same form yearly and sometimes a few times during a year! THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!
Yes. Very polite. Professional. Courteous. The dealership does not do business with them. Will not agree to submit a claim to them. Due diligence by calling my dealer. Another ASE denied to file claim with them or any others due to the numerous scams. All repairs would be my responsibility if needed. No guarantee to be refunded. Also, how many claims have they paid? How many verified reviews of repairs disclosed here. NONE! Caution my fellow Americans! Scammers are a dime per dime. In these cases, thousands of our hard earned coin.
My wife took her car to a dealership for oil change and general maintenance check over. The dealer found that the rear wheel bearings were bad on both sides. I purchased extended protection from AutoProtect, it was costly but it was worth the added protection on the car. The dealer called these people and the first words out of their mouth was if it had been in an accident or if the suspension had been altered. Then they(AutoProtect) called my wife with all kinds of questions about the car that there wasn't any reason for, wheel bearings go bad from wear, I could tell that they were fishing for a way to turn down the repair that we would have to pay out of pocket. That is exactly what happened and the reason it was turned down was that the car had been that way for 2 months and would not cover it. This was not the first time with these crooks, we had a previous repair on the car and went through the same run around then. I should have cancelled the agreement with them then but I just thought that it was just the person we were dealing with. This company did pay for that repair after going through a lot of unnecessary hassle, I will never deal with this company ever again, they are untrustworthy, crooks, they will not pay for your repairs. THIS COMPANY should not be in or allowed to continue in business, they SUCK!
This is a scam : when trying to sell truck on Facebook this sight sounded like a legit buyer after agreeing to meet and see truck , then I got call for a CV report ( auto detect.com) which is a scam sight that asks for personal info that could be compromising. I spent 30Minutes back and forth saying no I was not going to fill out this report !Man kept up try to say it was ok b/c he had issues with carfax and would not accept there reviews. Finally I told the man I strongly believe this was a scam. After that he dropped all talk, later he scrubbed the dialog on Facebook so others can not see. Advise do not get sucked into this scam !
Worst company ever they still haven’t given us a refund they told us we had to wait till January 3 months to get our money back so it’s January I find out we still won’t get our refund for at least 2more weeks because they have to calculate the mileage etc what a Joke they are awful so after their so called calculations we probably won’t get any refund we never used them for anything so there is nothing to calculate
I receive threatening notices to convince me to sign up for vehicle service contract. I never had any contract or connection with them and find this highly offensive and illegal. I will complain to the BBB about receiving threatening soliciting notices
This is a fraudulent company. I paid for my policy in full but when I tried to use it twice there were multiple hurdles and they would not cover what they were supposed to. I cancelled it and 4 months later have not received my refund. Every "customer service" rep I talked with had a lie and a nasty attitude. Do not pay anything to this company.
DO NOT TRUST As I just purchased a 2020 car, I thought I'd call the number in my mail to be better safe than sorry, because now I was unsure when my car's warranty ended. Since it's a KIA, I figured I had a dealership warranty until 100k miles which is what I remember being told when I purchased the vehicle, and my car was only at 80k but again... better safe than sorry, right? WRONG.When I first called in January/February, the representatives were overly nice but do not be fooled, it's a manipulation tactic. I refused their offers many times until the 'head boss' cut down my 1k + downpayment and $400 monthly to $215 monthly with no downpayment with 0% interest over the same amount of time (36 or 48 months, I don't recall). My first thought was, that the math ain't mathing, the total cost for the policy doesn't even add up... but hey, for $215 a month it might be worth it. Second red flag is that my credit card immediately flagged this as fraud when the purchase went though. It is 100% my fault that I didn't just say F U to them in the first place and allowed it to get there. Once that fraud alert came through, I did more digging on the company and ended where everyone of you might be now-- seeing a bunch of fraudulent reviews overriding the genuine reviews attempting to out this scam company. I immediately cancelled my credit card and ordered a new one. I thought that would be the end of it.They continued to call, and borderline harass me. Somehow they have my new credit card number and AGAIN a purchase went though. How the actual f*??? Do not trust. Do not waste your time. This company is a piece of garbage.
