I think these suits are a decent quality, but you may want to avoid this company if you tend to need to try a few sizes before deciding. I followed their measurements guide and my swimsuit top fits great; my bottoms are MUCH tighter. The matching skirt/coverup was a total enigma -- a TON of fabric and the kind you wouldn't really want to get wet. I could not figure out how to wear it and make it flattering at all.Baiia doesn't offer refunds, just exchanges and store credits. If you're in America they prefer you use DHL to ship returns back, which necessitated a half-hour drive out of the way for me. Shipping back with UPS would have cost an estimated $80! Though, maybe I guessed the value of the merchandise wrong. I wrote $140. When I had to switch to DHL, Baiia estimated the value of the goods for me at $14. So that's what you're paying for, FYI.
I’ve ordered 3 suits from Baiia and their customer service is top notch. The bikinis are stylish, versatile, supportive, and very comfortable. I’ve completed 2 returns (DHL $25 each) due to sizing and a change of heart. Refunds are quickly processed via a gift certificate to apply to a future order. Easy peasy.
This is the first suit I've felt confident in since puberty. From the fact that it's sustainably made, the versatility, and that I can show a bit of skin or wear it like a one-piece, I don't have anything critical to say. I had a great customer service experience (to try and find the right size). As well as fast shipping to the US. My only critique is that I look forward to being able to buy individual chest pieces so I can customize the look even further.
Buyers BEWARE. This company does not do returns, only exchanges. I didn’t know this when ordering my suit- I guess I just assumed a $230 suit would be returnable. When I got the suit I thought it was the wrong fit, because it was uncomfortable. I had to pay $25 to return it back to Australia. I had a fit consultation, received my second suit and it was HORRIBLY uncomfortable. The fabric has no give. Not to mention it’s like three or 4 pieces of fabric that you’re wearing… it’s just too much. You’re not going to be comfortable swimming in this, I can guarantee it. Frankly, If you like feeling like a stuffed sausage then this is the suit for you. I begged and pleaded for a refund instead of store credit but they are making me pay ANOTHER $25 to return it again. At this point I have almost $300 invested in swim suits. They gave some excuse about how they are a small business and that’s why they don’t do refunds but I have literally TRIED to like two swim suits now and it just doesn’t work for me no matter what suit I buy. I asked if they would make an exception as I don’t want to go through this process a third time and they won’t budge. Super disappointed in the customer service and just the suit in general.
The suit came quickly and was just as gorgeous as the photos. It feels very secure and comfortable and I love all the options for customizing and enjoying it. The fabric is very firm and thick (as Baiia informs you), so for the first couple of wears it took a little help to get into and out of the suit but it’s softened up as time goes on. I love it!
