Absolutely useless and incompetent system online banking system, backed up by a totally worthless person on the phone. There is no option to change the details of the debit card that I use to pay off my Barclay card, on their online banking system. So when I call up customer services, they tell me that they cannot change these details for me either and I have to use an app, which I cannot do as I am not allowed to use a mobile phone where I work. I have PC and landline access in work and using both I have contacted Barclaycard customer services and none of them can help me. Incompetent amateurs.

Customer Service is always engaged, Chat always unavailable, there is no way of contacting them. When I finally did, they cut me off and never called back. I'm switching to a credit card with basic customer service instead

Quick card arrival, but frustrating access issues

Received my card promptly, but there was no PIN included. When I tried to access my account online, I found that the online site was disabled, forcing me to use the app, which is quite poor. After getting the app, I was required to obtain a security device, which took a few days to arrive, but I still needed a PIN to use it, which was delayed. Once I finally got the PIN and set everything up, I attempted a balance transfer, but that feature was not functional in the app. This led to a lengthy phone call to resolve the issue. From what I've read in other reviews, it seems the app might take a week or longer to be fully operational. It used to be much simpler to access everything via a webpage on my computer. It's ironic that I received emails encouraging me to view my statements online when that option is no longer available!

Positive Experience with Our Business Account

We’ve maintained a business account for over a year now, and the experience has been genuinely solid. Initially, the credit limit was lower than we anticipated for our business, but they’ve consistently reviewed and increased it as our usage and profile expanded. This has significantly aided our cash flow and daily operations. The cashback offer is reasonable, customer service has been excellent, and whenever we've encountered issues or raised concerns, the complaints process has been handled professionally, transparently, and effectively. There were no delays, unnecessary back-and-forth, just clear communication and resolutions. The account has functioned smoothly for us, the support has been dependable, and the overall service has been impressive. We are pleased with our business account and the direction it is heading. Highly recommended.

Poor Service Experience

I had a frustrating experience with the service. They sent me a credit card without a PIN number, and when I reached out for help, the customer support was unhelpful in activating it. If I still have to rely on my debit card, what's the point of having a credit card? This service needs significant improvement!

Frustrating Automated System

If there’s a more frustrating automated phone system than this one, I haven’t encountered it. Endless options that don’t address my needs and none leading to a human operator. It’s incredibly frustrating and unacceptable! The company needs to improve this before losing more customers.

Concerns About Fraud Prevention

I hope they excel at preventing fraud, as they keep blocking my card for normal transactions. Additionally, it takes two hours to adjust my low limit if necessary. I will be looking for better alternatives.

Nightmare Experience

I signed up for a credit card and faced issues from the beginning. The app won’t process payments and locks me out repeatedly, forcing me to redo the setup each time. Customer support is only available through online chat. Once I clear my Amazon purchases, I won’t use this service again. Total nightmare!
