I've had a genuinely positive experience studying at Barking & Dagenham College, Rush Green Campus.

I've had a genuinely positive experience studying at Barking & Dagenham College, Rush Green Campus. Both within my course and across the college, the tutors and wider staff have been supportive, approachable, and encouraging throughout my time there, helping me build confidence and independence in my learning.

I studied Business and Management, and the course supported my academic development while also helping me grow personally. I also had the opportunity to be involved in the Student Union as a Disability Officer, which allowed me to further develop my confidence and contribute to supporting other students.

As someone with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), I felt supported and included, and I was able to grow in confidence in a way that felt comfortable for me.

Overall, I would recommend the college to anyone looking for a supportive and inclusive environment where they can develop and progress.

In the course of Accounting

In the course of Accounting, the course is nit planned, teacher has not managed their work.In English, the grade boundaries of AQA board is higher than Edexcel 2.0 which should be induce in the College to get higher grades for desirable future. In science, triple science higher needs to be induce for the student to get opportunities in their desirable fields.

The leadership is not good

The leadership is not good. Some appear to target some students and who frequently ignore contact from parents. Not sure who actually owns the college and they appear to have an agenda beyond education. I pulled my daughter out due to concerns for her welfare, as she was suffering from racially targeted abuse that the college would NOT deal with to an acceptable level.

Bombs - Guns - Theft and coverups

My diploma was deliberately sabotaged by a student-turned-teacher who disagreed with my political views. His colleague set off a hydro bomb in the workshop directly below our classroom—an act carried out in front of his own young students. He also brought an air rifle onto campus and shot a pigeon that had accidentally flown into the workshop. Afterward, he showed the weapon to the onsite security operative, stored in the boot of his car.The teacher responsible for our class failed in his duty of care by not reporting these incidents. I refused to return to the college and formally requested a full refund. The college has refused to take action and denied my refund request. Instead, I was told I must either return to an environment where I fear for my safety to retake the course or choose a different one. This is deeply unfair. As a consumer, I believe I am entitled to a refund for a service I did not receive. The political representative for my borough has been ignored and dismissed by the individual responsible for investigating my complaint. She has refused to provide a detailed explanation of the outcome—or whether any investigation was conducted at all.In my view, the principal and both teachers involved should be dismissed. Students’ safety is at risk, and the college’s failure to act is unacceptable.

Barking and Dagenham college is not a…

Barking and Dagenham college is not a good college, and the head of the college should be sacked. Students complain all the time, but nothing is ever done because she is a bully and her ego is bigger than the college. If anyone knows students at the college, please let them know about trust pilot and let them put their reviews up. Eventually the Government will have to look into her and her running of the college. I will be doing interviews with a content creators who have over 500.000 subscribers collectively, so that my voice will be heard and people are aware of the dangers of attending that college. I hope my forced redaction of her name is ok to post. The facts still remain the same.

AVOID this college

AVOID this college. They don't deserve even one star for their services.I went with my brother to them, to enroll him for an ESOL course back in September 2023. We found this course very attractive, because it states on the website that unemployed people like my brother can study this course for free. They tested his English skills, and we agreed to start with Level 1.He finished the course. He said that was not what he expected, and the teaching methods were awful. On 5th of February 2025, we got an e-mail from them where they said that there is an outstanding balance of £240 in my brother's name. And this is very disappointing, because they said the course is FREE for unemployed people.Contacting the college, they mentioned the reason why he had to pay: 'You are not from London Borough'.We asked for the contract where it says that the person should be from London, and we never got it,they sent just the 6th page from it where is a receipt in my brother's name. They were threatening us with debt collectors if we didn't pay.So DON'T choose this college!!!!!

this college is awful

this college is awful. teachers treat you like a joke, pick on the students that aren't as good as others, rub in your face that so and so is better than you, say they'll do things to help and never happens. they closed the google classrooms over a day early so i couldnt submit some of my work. they ignore emails. only good teacher in that college is clare warren, and she was on leave for majority of this year sadly.

Barking and Dagenham college just looks good on the outside but it is a terrible college being run by a bully. Ms Kelly is not a nice person and has no time to speak to you when you have a problem,
