However, the fees are sorta high.
Given to receive and transfer takes a certain fee for both.
Honestly, I am so disappointed with this Grey company 😔💔
When I first started using the app, I was very happy 😊. I created my account with my details and even generated a link to verify a U.S. account 🇺🇸. During the process, I used my local Nigerian bank (Opay) 🏦 to send a small amount of money just to confirm if the app truly works. The money went through successfully ✅, and that made me trust the app even more.
Later on, a good friend of mine, Christopher, who lives in Leesburg, Alabama (USA) 🇺🇸, sent me $699 from his U.S. Direct Express bank to my Grey account 💸. This transaction was done on December 3rd, 2025 📅.
Can you believe that up till today, I have not received the money at all? 😡😢 I am very upset because this company has basically held my money, and I feel completely disappointed. I trusted the app because my local Nigerian transaction worked, but when a much bigger amount was sent from the U.S., it never reached me.
When I checked the transaction status, I was told to wait three business days ⏳. But since December 3rd last year till now, haven’t three business days already passed? 🤷🏽♂️ Yet, there is still no money showing on my Grey dashboard 📵.
I even reported this issue to Grey company on TikTok 📱, but I received no response at all 🚫.
For clarity, the bank through which the money was sent into the Grey app is Lead Bank 🏦.
This whole experience has been very frustrating and disappointing 😔💔.
Overall, it's quite good; previously, there were issues with sending funds to my local bank account, but it seems that those have been resolved, and now it functions excellently. It's my favorite app, and opening an account is very straightforward. The only current issue I'm encountering is that the option to send to a mobile wallet has been processing for 8 days. I reached out to the support team, but there hasn't been any update in days. Edit: The payment finally went through today, thank you!

My deposit has been stuck for far too long, and the support team continues to provide the same automated responses. There has been no genuine assistance or meaningful updates. I anticipated a level of professionalism, especially with a European refund. Instead, my deposit is caught in an endless cycle of “verification” with no clear information. It feels like their support is merely copying and pasting the same messages repeatedly. This experience has been very disappointing. Despite submitting all necessary documentation, my deposit remains on hold. The support team keeps reiterating generic statements without presenting any real solutions. This is not how a financial institution should function. The verification process has been slow, confusing, and stressful. I’m attempting to retrieve my own funds from a European insurer, but rather than receiving genuine support, I am met with automated replies that lead nowhere. If you value your time and money, proceed with caution. My deposit has been stuck for days, even after providing every document I possess. Support responds like robots — the same message, no progress. A financial platform should not complicate refunds to this extent.
I’m very let down by my experience using the service. Receiving money through their platform has proven to be incredibly challenging. They request an excessive number of documents, proofs, and repeated verifications, even for straightforward transfers.
Whenever I submit what is asked, they continue to ask for more, making the process painfully slow and aggravating. A financial service should simplify sending and receiving money — not complicate it further.
The company needs to enhance their customer support and streamline their verification process. Thank you for your response.
I recognize the importance of security and compliance — but reiterating the same generic explanation does not advance my case. I have submitted all available documents, and I am still awaiting a clear, practical resolution regarding my deposit. I don’t require more template responses.

Solid app with excellent support; however, it currently lacks access to a USD account and the ability to use the card for tap-to-pay options on mobile wallets. Additionally, having a physical card for withdrawals would be a great improvement.
As a domain investor I receive all my USD earnings through my grey USD account and the transaction fees are fair compared with traditional Nigerian banking plus the ease of access on the web is great. (I don't use grey app on my phone)
