After shopping around all the log cabin companies North & South Beaver Log Cabins were the only company that had the type of cabin that we wanted available . I was told it would be delivered within two weeks and we got a call from the transport company 2 days later and had it within 5. I was quoted 18-26 weeks by other companies . It took 2 men 3 days to put it up so was very happy with how quick it was to construct . We had advise from William the whole way threw as this was the first cabin that my carpenter had constructed.Cabin is up nearly 3 months now and we are delighted with it . I have my home gym on one side and a bar on the other . Perfect little man cave . Couldn’t fault the cabin or the staff from Trevor and Stephen who I dealt with when purchasing to William who was on the other end of the phone to answer every question the lads had .
My wife and I purchased an Olaug cabin last February. The cabin arrived on time as per the lead time given. It was delivered direct to site by Garyowen Transport who were very obliging with a difficult access point to our address. The cabin was very well packaged and no damages to report. The quality of the timber was very good with no warped/twisted logs. It was a first time installation for my carpenter but it was easy for him to follow. William was extremely helpful offering expert advice when requested. We are delighted with the outcome and we feel we have made a significant saving going with this cabin against a block built alternative. The Olaug is very multifunctional and the bi fold door system functions well. Based on our experience, we would have no hesitation in recommending Beaver Log Cabins.
Recently purchased and erected a Pavia Log cabin from Beaver .From the first point of contact with Natasha ,who supplied me with all the the information and pictures of recent Pavia Cabins completed, the whole process was seamless ,the Cabin was delivered on the date agreed by Garryowen Transport,Upon erecting the Cabin , I had 2 queries which were answered by the Beaver Carpenters immediately. Before purchasing i was made fully aware of the works in preparing the base and the finishes once it was delivered. Everything worked perfect from the drawings provided and I would highly recommend the Beaver Team and the Cabin itself ,
Following a number of conversations with Beaver Log Cabins personnel during which I stressed the importance of a light-filled room, we bought the Whitegate cabin from the website for €6,500. The cabin delivered is NOT the Whitegate pictured on the website. The windows which accompanied it were 20cm longer than the window outlets. A technical person from Beaver told us we had received an earlier model of the cabin with windows from a later cabin (neither of which corresponded to the photo on the website). The Beaver owner insisted that cutting out larger holes for the windows was the only solution. We felt the cabin should be replaced it wan’t the one we had ordered. Our builder believed cutting out the cabin walls to facilitate the larger windows might weaken the structure and was reluctant to do so. The Beaver owner did not accept that adjusting the structure was a problem. We had to buy more timber to reinforce the window surroundings and the procedure took a number of hours’ labour. We were offered €250 towards this expense.More importantly, he did not accept that this was not the cabin we had ordered and insisted that the cabin plans are updated constantly. I sent him photos of the cabin on the website and ours with the narrower windows which meant that we were not getting the light-filled room we had ordered. He refused to accept that there was any problem with this. Before purchasing, the costs to be incurred in installation were all downplayed. For example, that moving the materials from the front garden could be done in “20 to 30 minutes” by 2 men (a 6X3 metre 75cm high structure had been left on the pavement outside our house causing a serious public safety risk). It took 2 builders over 2.5 hours to move it. The construction took 2 tradesmen (overseen by a builder) 50 hours to complete. The paint cost €647from Beaver Log Cabins and we needed to purchase more. It took 100 hours to prepare, treat and paint the cabin (done by us with the help of family so no cost). The final cost of the cabin, which is NOT the one pictured on the website and ordered is over €12,000.I believe we have a strong case for legal action against Beaver Log Cabins. However, we are retired and feel beaten down after our experiences with them and could not face any additional stress.
Having just had a Jutka log cabin supplied and erected by Beaver Log Cabins, I thought I would share my experience with them.From first contact with Trevor Watson right through the entire process to painting, I have been happy with everything and absolutely delighted with the finished product. There are too many individuals to mention but everyone have been very friendly and professional and diligent in their work. Gavin’s team got to work on the base and did a fantastic job, followed by William who expertly laid all the logs and assisted by Stephen and Christopher joinery teams. Finally Mark and his entire team of painters spent a lot of time with their preparation and making sure the finished product looked fantastic. Trevor delivered on his promise of making my wife very happy by customising the interior of the cabin into a fabulous home bar.
