Was informed 'it might take a minute' to get to you, fair enough however, prob half an hour later for taking the order, 20 mins for starter and another half hour for mains. I'd guess at not enough staff however, easily could have said, thanks for waiting/mega busy etc when passing or indeed a free soft drink perhaps ? No interaction at all. Food was just ok tbh. This review comes from my parents' visit to a local branch. My mother was in tears after the treatment they received from a staff member. My father, who is ill, was struggling to eat. My mother requested a small portion of spaghetti Bolognese for him, but the staff member was rude and provided a child's portion of a different pasta instead. When my mother explained the mix-up, the response was dismissive. My father couldn't eat due to his condition, leading to further distress. There was no apology, and the staff member's behavior was unacceptable. This experience added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time for my parents.
We went in for dinner and after an hour still had not received our meal. The service was very poor, as those who arrived after us were served first, leading us to leave. We were informed that we didn't have to pay for the starter, but overall, the management was lacking. We won't be returning to this location.
The restaurant consistently delivers a great experience; the staff, especially a particular member, are warm and friendly. They are knowledgeable about the menu and willing to customize dishes to suit preferences. The food is always served hot, never lukewarm as I've experienced elsewhere. I truly enjoy this place and it’s my go-to whenever we’re in town.
I went to the local branch today. My partner enjoyed a cheeseburger and fries, which he was satisfied with. However, I ordered mushroom risotto and was quite disappointed; it lacked mushrooms and the risotto was heavy and tasteless. Our total, including salad and two drinks, came to nearly £50.
While some reviews mention unhappy staff at various locations, we found the manager at the one in South Kensington to be incredibly friendly and cheerful. The food was quite good (4 stars), but the service was outstanding (6 stars out of five)!
The local venue has reached a point where it should consider closing, as the food quality is unacceptable. We both returned our meals and ended up feeling unwell afterward. We left hungry and opted to eat at the cinema instead. They claim to offer Italian cuisine, but it's far from authentic, and it’s a shame that people think this represents true Italian food.
