Southampton branch: booked for a party of 10 to celebrate our disabled son’s 18th birthday. Staff were excellent, chef had provided a blended curry and birthday brownie with candle. Service was attentive and timely. Food was very good as too drinks / cocktails. Thank you for understanding our needs and making our night memorable and enjoyable.
Visited for a meal, but the staff were immediately unhelpful and informed us we couldn't enter, despite a sign indicating they were open. They insisted we book online, which we did for 5:30, arriving at 5:10. The manager then approached us, stating they were busy and not accepting walk-ins. After explaining our booking, he claimed they couldn't see it and said we would have to wait half an hour. We requested to order drinks, but he refused. Even after clarifying our situation, he was dismissive and walked away, saying they were too busy. I was extremely dissatisfied with the staff's behavior and suggest they clearly indicate when they are closed or fully booked. Many others were also turned away, despite the restaurant not being at full capacity, with only a few tables occupied in the front and the back half completely empty.
Visited for a meal, but the staff were unhelpful and insisted we couldn't enter despite a sign indicating they were open. After booking online for 5:30, we arrived at 5:10 only to be told by the manager that they were busy and not taking walk-ins. When we mentioned our reservation, he claimed they couldn’t find it and told us to wait half an hour. We requested to order drinks in the meantime, but he refused. Despite explaining our situation, he was dismissive and left, citing their busyness. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the staff's behavior and recommend they clarify their booking status, as many others were also turned away while we were there, despite the restaurant not being at full capacity.
The first visit with my son was delightful, with fresh food and amazing bread. However, I was really let down during his birthday visit with my daughter. Both ended up feeling unwell, and the food was runny, while the bread was undercooked and chewy. The nachos were also disappointing, with only about seven pieces.
I expected slow service in a busy restaurant, but it was nearly empty. The food was cold and burnt, yet not cheap. How can a steak be both burnt and raw? Quite impressive. The food was bland and poorly seasoned. Was it just an off night? Extremely disappointing.
The atmosphere and food were enjoyable, and the staff were always cheeky and helpful. However, I could have given a perfect score if the birthday voucher for a free main course had been valid; it was surprising that it was out of date just a week later. We traveled 2.5 hours from Halifax to be there.
Drove 10 miles and had trouble finding parking (£10 for 2 hours). We gathered for my granddaughter's 40th birthday and were the first customers, so it was quiet initially. Drinks arrived quickly, but three starters came out cold after a reasonable wait. After waiting over an hour for our main course without any food arriving at our table while other tables were served, we asked our waiter for an update, and he inquired if we wanted the bill instead. We hadn’t even eaten! After nearly an hour and a half, we left without an apology, and the manager didn't come out to address the situation. I submitted a written complaint online but have yet to receive a response.
A disappointing evening at the Brighton restaurant. Staff informed us that food would take about 30 minutes due to a large party. After receiving some nachos, we waited 80 minutes for our main dishes, and two out of three plates were cold. When we tried to order additional food, we were awkwardly asked if we wanted to order again. The atmosphere was tense, with some patrons leaving without food, while others shared their meals due to the lack of service. It was disheartening, especially since delivery drivers were getting orders out much quicker than the restaurant. We rarely dine out due to personal circumstances, making this experience even more disappointing.
We visited this restaurant in Chinatown, Birmingham, without a reservation and were seated in the bar area. We were informed that food would take 40 minutes, which was acceptable, and we could order at the bar or via the app. However, while waiting for our food, I struggled to get service at the bar, standing there for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Our food did arrive on time but was overpriced for the quality and portions. The meal was overcooked and insufficient. The cost for drinks was also high, nearly £12 for a pint and sparkling water. Overall, it was a disappointing visit, and we regretted not choosing a better restaurant in the area, especially since we had enjoyed this chain elsewhere. It seems they prioritize speed over quality, and the prices were outrageous. We spent £70 and left still hungry.
