Edit 9/26/25: We are grateful that the company returned the missing air compressor to us. We wish the company was directly responsive to written contact regarding the other issues mentioned.***Our relocation with Best US Moving was marred by significant issues including a lost item, a considerable price hike, and poor-quality communication.We faced a shocking $1,900+ price increase for additional cubic footage at pickup despite verbal and written assurances that costs would align with our estimate. This points to either low balling us in our estimate, miscalculation at pick up (which I did note as will be shown later), or both. The foreman’s illegible inventory and lack of a requested final walk-through prevented verification of charges, creating pressure to agree before our closing. After proceeding with pick-up, I discovered discrepancies between our final estimate and the pick-up inventory including mislabeled box sizes, separate "piece" listings for cribs, bedframes, mattresses, and bedsprings (misidentified as “springboards).” Furthermore, piece number stickers were found on the walls in the house we sold, as well as on items we transported ourselves (like my stringed instruments). I also found that the company’s claim of an increase from 147 to over 300 pieces appeared to involve conflating “items” and “pieces” (e.g., listing multiples of boxes versus each box as a separate item). Additionally, while 33 pieces of lumber were overlooked on the estimate (14–20 cu. ft. in dimensions), this should have added less than $81. We've requested an audit, but they won't respond. We experienced many communication issues. A scheduled 8/17/25 video walkthrough was canceled two minutes before start time due to the consultant’s family emergency with no alternative representative offered, and the estimate given didn't match our charges at pick up. Then when we tried to nail down our pick up date, we were told it should be possible to tell us by 8/17/25. This didn't happen, so we requested a single-day pickup for the 21st on 8/18/25, and a customer service voicemail confirmed pickup for 8/20/25 (which we accepted). We also received an e-mail on the 19th from "support" at the company to inform us that "the pick up will be 8/20." We also responded to a driver text regarding our delivery availability stating we'd be ready the afternoon of the 21st, after which we received no follow-up that this might not be feasible (the distance would require leaving early morning on the 21st). As a result, the foreman’s indication of a potential two-day process caused panic, leading us to book different accommodations for the evening than planned, and then WE were blamed for not allowing for a two-day timespan. The only solution offered was for our mattresses to be removed from the truck and put on floors (which were soiled from the movers tracking in dirt on a wet day). Earlier, unresponsive communication (e.g., move date change requests from 7/24/25–7/29/25) also lacked acknowledgment without repeated follow-up, causing additional frustration. All of this added significant stress to an already challenging process. The company has yet to respond to us directly to address the entirety of these complaints amidst us reaching out to them since late August. A follow-up call was promised on 8/29/25 to address our concerns, but this was never done.To summarize, customer service is inconsistent despite claims of seven-day availability. Responses to our concerns have been largely absent. We urge Best US Moving to address these issues and caution potential customers until improvements are made. If you use their services, I highly recommend printing out your estimate to compare how charges are calculated at pick-up, insist on the pricing given at estimate (as they are only allowed to charge 110% of a non-binding estimate, and the FMCSA requires them to not to give low ball estimates). I also encourage you to take thorough notes and pictures regarding any difficulties you may face, should you take the risk.
I had used Best Us Moving Inc company for my move from MA to NJ. I was quoted an estimated of $3500 for my move Aug 1-Aug 2. They were very attention to detail job on making sure I had listed everything I was loading on the truck, they even called me a few days before move to check if I missed any items. Very Professional and transparent about everything.
The estimation that the representative gave me was half the price I ended up paying. She miscalculated the space that I needed to half of what it was. My moving day was postponed and when they showed up, that's when they realized that I needed twice the space to move my furniture. Than they broke my move in 2 different days. They did not take any responsibility at all for any of these. I had to fight with them to even lower the price for the second part I had to pay, that was above the quote. They were offering 5 cent discount initially per cubic feet. And that's not the worse part. All my furniture got damaged, scratched, broken, they did not spare a single item. Even the brand new wood flor, got scratch. They assured me when the initial quote was given, that if there is any damage, the insurance will cover it completely. When I filed a claim, I found out that "the insurance" was 60 cents per pound, not the full coverage. That was obviously not explained to me at all, I did not even know there was such a thing. I'm still waiting to hear from a third party insurance on the reimbursement, which I'm sure will not be any where near of what my furniture is worth, or what I will need to spend to replace it. After wasting all this time to file with insurance, I got $518 approved for settlement.
