There was no live audio, and the provided headphones were faulty. The temperature exceeded 100 degrees without any air conditioning. Customer service was unresponsive, promising refunds but only offering 25%. This feels like a scam. Many others have had similar experiences. How is this company still in business?!
I will not take the bus tour again. It seems the walking tours inflate the ratings, which I wish I had known before purchasing the bus tickets! We were caught in London traffic (which we understand, being in London!), yet we passed some sites multiple times! To everyone's shock, the driver turned off the engine, grabbed his bag, and left! We waited on the bus for nearly 20 minutes for a new driver, likely because his shift ended! The routes only went one way, leaving us stuck on the bus. Many passengers were unhappy. It took 3.5 hours to cover the red and blue routes, while another trip was only supposed to be 3 hours! Unfortunately, we hesitated to get off to visit places we wanted due to the fear of being stranded with time running out. The commentary would have been good if it had synced with our travel. We would pass a landmark and wonder what it was, only to hear about it later, or the commentary would mention a landmark while we were trying to locate it. A very disappointing experience.
The owner should ensure that staff are performing their duties properly. One staff member at a bridge was rude and arrogant, simply handing me a leaflet. There was a protest that couldn't be avoided, but he did not assist us and left a group of us waiting. He was busy chatting with colleagues from other companies. We sought help, but it was another representative who provided the needed information about where to catch the bus. Our time to enjoy the experience was cut short, and when we boarded, it just went in circles. We were incredibly upset, especially since this trip was for my daughter's 13th birthday.
We attempted to book at a location and were directed to a staff member outside a booth. He rushed us, and we boarded a bus that offered no views, just brief glimpses, with commentary suggesting a short walk. We received no map and were confused about the next stops. We seemed to navigate many back streets. Instead of the expected £58, £98 was charged. When I questioned this, the staff member pointed out that a river cruise was included, which wasn't what we wanted. While the cruise was pleasant, it was brief. I felt cheated, and this experience has made me hesitant to use similar services in other cities.
This service was overpriced and underwhelming. We spent $185 USD for three tickets, and it was a waste of money. Unlike other cities, where guides provided engaging history, here it was just a dull recorded voice with little real insight. The staff were overly pushy, constantly asking if we wanted to buy tickets. The schedule was misleading, claiming buses would arrive every 20 minutes, yet we waited another 20 minutes before departing from Times Square. Overall, it was poorly managed and not worth the cost. Next time, we'll just take the train.
This was a very disappointing experience. The frequency of buses was slow, and the route changed often, resulting in long waits. Some headphone sockets didn't work, and the service was too pricey for what was offered. I would not recommend this to anyone.
If I could give zero stars, I would! This service is a disgrace! They don’t provide information about stops or what you’re passing. Routes change, and stops are missed. When I complained, they suggested downloading an app to follow the bus! I shouldn't have to look at my phone while trying to enjoy the sights! The route is far too long and should be divided into shorter runs to avoid taking over three hours. Staff need better training to inform customers about events and delays.
I took the Blue Route on the hop-on hop-off bus and found the service to be efficient and well-organized. The route included key historical landmarks, with a clear audio guide offering relevant information. The transport was comfortable, and a staff member provided precise route advice, enhancing my overall experience.
