Just rec'd a call (1pm 9/6/25) I'm not a fan of unsolicited calls & when I questioned the man calling he said he had all my information about my tariff. I told him that I had gone with my local community switch to which he responded "you didn't have to tell me that, we have access to your information" I said I don't take unsolicited calls, he said the call was not unsolicited. So basically rude and argumentative. Blocked!
Entered details on their site to receive a variety of quotes. All I got was a message saying someone from British Gas would call from a certain number to offer a deal. No alternative suppliers at all. The call was then from a guy full of sales talk who would not get to the point (i.e. give me rates) and, when challenged just abruptly ended the call. If you do go on the site, do not give them your date of birth as who knows how your personal data is used? It's also evident the Trustpilot review stars on their site are not accurate - way over-stated!!
I received a house call from the representative advising me to switch to a company with a better electric-gas rate (something like £96 per month) on the warning that rates would rise in the new year. I advised him that I would look into it myself, to which he said someone would check in. I said fine. When I did see articles saying the same thing, I went to my current provider and found a better rate, which I signed up to the same day. Since then, I have received text after text about it (I had to opt out to stop receiving them), and four calls. To the first call, I said I had already got a better rate and not to call again. To the second a week later, I said I had already got a better rate and not to call again. Today, a week after that, I received two calls from the same person "Damian". I advised in this call that I had already got a better rate, from whom and how much, and not to call *again*. When I received that fourth call in the evening and he asked how much I was paying now, I had truly had enough. I told Damian that I had already told him how much, and I was confused (actually, furious) as to why he was calling yet again and why he hadn't written it down the first time! I told him that I didn't want to receive a call from them ever again, and nothing of what they offered was worth the borderline harassment I'd received ever since. The next time they call, I will threaten them with a police report -- and I truly mean it. They will harass you.Friend, if you ever get someone from Bill Switchers offering a better deal on your energy, don't say yes and don't give them your details. They will harass you and harass you, and you will never know peace again. 0 stars.Edit: They called me again on 30th Jan, asking about setting me up with a quote. I would advise anyone who has dealings with them to just report them to Action Fraud, because this is harassment.
This is a horrible company, I have done the online comparison for the energy tariffs, the customer service representative Liam Taylor called in the morning and gave a very promising rates and took all my details and applied for switch it was quite fast and when the email arrived it was wrong unit rates. I have tried to speak to them but they are disconnecting and also treating customers badly and shouting at the customers and talking bad words to the customers and they used to lift the phone and use to keep the phone aside by not answering, very terrible situation and that guy even shouted saying I told you to speak to Utility Warehouse and why you are calling us and he said we are not responsible. Such a horrible experience I have experienced. It was complete Scam from the company. Please kindly avoid this site or this people. I would have given zero as there is no option it is one star.
Just want to give everyone a BIG HEADS UP! I got a great quote at £96.60 on the bill switchers website that they said they would set up and get it in place. They called me just to confirm my BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS which I thought was really odd! Me being gullible enough confirmed them just so they could set it up and they said I would receive a confirmation email. I got the confirmation email close to my 14 day cool off period and it was to say my new direct debit was set up for £141.60! So they obviously take £45 profit and pay rebel energy separate. Its A SCAM they are thieves. Id like to see how long this post last but ill be posting it everyone so people can be warned. Also they call on a number that comes up scam caller they only reason I continued to confirm things was they knew my details from the site I thought was legit.
Trying to find out better deals for energy and could not complete their questions which immediately got me concerned. Will post if any further info comes to light, until then do not trust and please read the messages on Google prior to going to the site.
