The support team at BuddyBoss is very professional, thorough, and extremely helpful. My most recent technical challenge involved updating my app and Rezwan got back to me right away and his suggestions worked impeccably. The latest build is in review and ready to go live. Thank you! I've never shared a negative review before, but this situation was so troubling that I feel I must alert others. As someone who runs a marketing agency and manages SaaS products, I am well aware of how subscriptions and renewals work. What transpired here was highly irregular. Prior to the renewal, I had: • Removed all payment methods from the platform • Disabled auto-renew • Contacted support, clearly requesting cancellation and no further charges Yet, I was still billed $2,100. When I reached out to support with evidence: • My cancellation email • Their response confirming the cancellation They claimed I had responded to the incorrect transactional email thread. It seems that each part of their service generates its own email, and unless you respond to the exact one related to that service, it continues to renew — even if: • You state “cancel everything” • Auto-renew is turned off • Payment methods have been removed They even provided a screenshot from their system, showing that I had interacted with a different email as a reason for maintaining the charge. Instead of rectifying the error, they directed me to their refund policy and attempted to negotiate a 50% refund, essentially asking me to accept a loss of over $1,000 on a charge I clearly tried to avoid. This feels like a deliberate billing strategy aimed at trapping customers. Moreover, the software itself is: • Cumbersome and slow under real usage • Frequently disrupted by updates • Loaded with unexpected extra fees (such as for certain plugins) • Native app publishing didn't function for us • Support is generally unhelpful when real assistance is needed I have now initiated a dispute with my card issuer, who is looking into how my payment information was retained after I removed it. Upon further investigation, I also discovered numerous online discussions highlighting similar experiences. If you prioritize clear billing and ethical business conduct, I strongly advise steering clear of this platform. This has been an enormous waste of time, resources, and trust.
Prabs is doing an amazing job with our group. He is extremely knowledgeable and has been able to take on a lot of questions with no prerequisite knowledge sent to him. I do a lot of app development on my own without third party tools, so this is new for me. It was a very good, pleasant, and helpful conversation. I had the problem that I had written a / after the URL in the settings where it shouldn't be, and the page wasn't working the way I wanted it to—but the way it should with that / ;-). Support helped me solve this problem. They also asked me what else they could do for me, and I was able to ask further questions that I hadn't yet clarified.
