My experience was truly disappointing, and like others, I wish I had read the reviews first. I ordered beer for Christmas on December 14th, just two days before the cutoff. I could have ordered earlier, but I was conscious of the shelf life of kegs and placed my order eight working days before the holiday. The first red flag was an email confirmation mentioning possible delays 'due to high parcel volumes with the courier.' The next day, I ordered lager from another seller and received a delivery notice within 24 hours, without any issues. After five working days, I sent an inquiry and was assured that my delivery would arrive by Christmas. Doubting this, I read the TrustPilot reviews and made alternate plans. On Christmas Eve, I received a message at 1 PM stating that the beer would not be delivered, with apologies and again blaming the delivery company instead of owning up to the situation. I strongly advise against using this service.
My experience was dreadful, and I wish I had seen the reviews beforehand. I ordered beer for a holiday gathering on December 14, just before the cut-off date. Although I could have ordered earlier, I was mindful of the shelf life of kegs and placed my order eight working days before Christmas. My first concern arose when I received an email stating there might be delays due to high parcel volumes with the courier. The next day, I ordered from another seller and received my delivery within 24 hours with no issues. After five working days without my order, I sent a query and was assured it would arrive by Christmas. However, I became skeptical after reading TrustPilot reviews and made alternate plans. On Christmas Eve, I received a message saying my order would not be delivered, again blaming the courier instead of taking responsibility for the situation. I strongly advise avoiding this service.
I have yet to receive my order, and there has been no response to my emails, calls, or messages. I placed my order on November 27, and now it's December 10 with no sign of it. I've emailed three times, left three voicemails (no one answers the phone), and even messaged on social media. They do not respond. I regret not checking TrustPilot before ordering, mistakenly believing they were a reputable service. If I don't hear back within a week, I will dispute the charge to obtain a refund.
On a rainy Monday, I passed by a local establishment that opened at 11 am. They started serving food at noon, offering table service or the option to sit at the bar. The food selection was impressive, catering to all tastes and budgets. The staff were cheerful and polite, checking in on our meals during our visit. The bar staff were friendly and attentive, providing a wide range of drinks. I even noticed they had spots left for a festive meal, which was a pleasant surprise. My family and I plan to return soon, possibly for that festive meal.
My stay at a local establishment was one of the worst experiences I've had. I booked for three nights and dinner on the first evening. Unfortunately, the food was subpar for the price, and I expressed my concerns to the server. I was offered a replacement meal, which turned out to be even worse. When I reiterated my dissatisfaction, the manager accused me of being aggressive and called the police. I was humiliated and forced to leave my room. Although I managed to get a refund for my first night thanks to customer service intervention, the whole situation was absurd. The offer of a lunch voucher as an apology seemed trivial. Many reviews mention poor service, which seems to be a recurring issue.
We stopped at a local spot for breakfast and were shocked by the high price. Despite our hunger, we expected better food quality. After a long wait, our meals arrived, but the food was disappointing—overcooked bacon, solid toast, and burnt black pudding. I strongly recommend avoiding this place due to the poor quality and high prices.
I had dinner at a local pub, and while the food was excellent, the service was disappointingly slow. There seemed to be too many tables for the staff to manage effectively, as our starters took an hour to arrive. It's a shame, as the pub has great potential with friendly staff.
I stayed at a local pub earlier this year, and while the stay was pleasant, I have concerns about how the company handles personal data. I explicitly requested not to receive marketing communications, yet I began receiving unsolicited emails and texts. This seems to violate data protection regulations. While I can unsubscribe, it shouldn't be my responsibility when I opted out from the start. Companies must obtain explicit consent before sending such communications.
