I’m honestly not sure where to begin. They say moving is one of the most stressful things you can go through, and this move absolutely lived up to that reputation—largely due to the complexities of the building we were moving out of.Cadogan Tate were absolutely amazing throughout. Stuart and Lacey were there every step of the way, calm, supportive, and completely on top of everything.Lacey in particular was an absolute star. I know this was not an easy move, but she handled it with professionalism, patience, and good humour throughout.And as a bonus—she also writes a cracking email.
The removal team, led by Simon with Pawel, Przemek, and Radu, were absolutely excellent – all lovely guys: friendly, bubbly, and extremely accommodating. They made what could have been a stressful day run effortlessly, enjoyable and with great care.From start to finish, the service was fantastic – from the initial quotation with Daniel and Ryan through to the removal itself, everything was handled professionally and efficiently.I couldn’t be happier with the experience and would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free move.
I must say I was genuinely excited when I started the process of working with Cadogan Tate. I have moved internationally several times and the results have always been quite variable. I had used CT for one off deliveries of art in the US and they had always been excellent. So I felt very confident that they would do a good job when it came to a move from Portugal to the UK. The quote was close to 90k gbp so I was expecting great things. The pack up in Portugal was solid at the house. Things started to go awry when they told me that they had completely forgotten a storage pick up in Lisbon. I would still have to pay the storage fees in lisbon and they said they would subtract the costs from their London storage invoices in the future. They would pick up the rest on the second half of the job. Annoying but felt reasonable. The move into our rental went relatively well, except they damaged my landlords running machine. When they moved the machine they placed it over the plug floor plate. When my wife used the machine the floor plate caught the tread and damaged it. We have videos and conversations that create a precise timeline of the events. At first they were very apologetic and said they would contact technogym. When they did, TG said the belt couldn’t be replaced as it’s too dangerous to use. They would have to replace the whole machine. Which they said they would.It took them three months to come back to me to tell me that they can’t replace it under their insurance, as I didn’t take out their moving insurance which was an extra 2% of the 90k. Which is beyond expensive and my items were covered under my Chubb insurance. So I am now left with a 25k bill for a new machine and now they don’t even respond. Not only was the customer experience awful, they show no sense of care or attention to detail. This is obviously a major concern when they are handling expensive personal belongings. I have now had to hire another mover and pay double the money for the second move. They took over 55k for the first move and I can’t trust them not to damage my belongings. Or look after us if they do damage them. I think everyone understands that innocent mistakes happen, but in order to maintain a premium brand you should make every effort to make things right. I have since found out that they have been bought by a PE firm and have been buying up lots of smaller companies under the CT umbrella. So quality and brand experience has suffered and they are no longer a high end boutique brand you can trust. Consolidation is really hard and it’s clear the customer is suffering. This happened to my friend in London too and another contact I know in Spain. So it’s not a one off incident unfortunately. Please stay away at all costs, in case something goes wrong.
Outstandingly good service. Cadogan Tate are completely reliable and do an excellent job. Enormous care was taken by the office staff, the actual removal men and the Move in Style girls to facilitate a move which was not straight forward and required patience and kindness- all of which was demonstrated in abundance. Thank you!
Cadogan Tate moved us over 5 days from our house . The team was professional, competent , helpful , very pleasant to work with and they make the entire process seamless.The team leader, Jimmy, was particularly good, his team obviously enjoy working together with him and each other and nothing was too much bother for them. All in all , superb service.
