This company is only interested in collecting as many legal fees as possible. Their legal advice is dubious and they try to collect additional fees at every step, even thought upfront they insist on each one being the last one. They refuse to give refunds. They don't do even basic due diligence to inform clients of chances for legal success, do not do basic work or communication to expedite cases, and continue to offer expensive, unnecessary services all knowing that there is no additional legal benefit to the client. This is a predatory law firm and I would strongly advise you avoid their business.
Working with Cape made the entire court process so much less stressful. They not only helped me navigate the system with confidence but also provided thoughtful, practical guidance every step of the way. Thanks to their support, I ultimately won my case.
I received excellent attention and communications from Cape Law. They were able to do what I was unable to do through available channels. My issues were resolved easily. I am so grateful to the team that worked on my case. Cape Law attorneys are dedicated and committed. They really do care and listen, and their services did not break my budget. Now that my case is resolved in my favor, I will continue to pay the monthly fee to retain their service in case I ever need legal help again.
1) Had our claim dismissed because of bad advice from their office re: paying a disputed amount before filing despite asking about this repeatedly2) Provided us with a trial brief that referred to nonexistent case law. I'm assuming this was done by a paralegal who used an LLM to generate the brief, and didn't bother to check the case law references. But this seems pretty egregious and implies malpractice if true. 3) Had 3 days to respond to an urgent situation that was caused by their office in the first place (see above), and said that wasn't enough time to respond4) Filed suit in the wrong jurisdiction because, again, they used an automated entity search of some kind, and didn't bother to follow up and check the addresses, and verify with us the logic of the entity search. 5) I had to complain in order to even get a call to review our trial brief to prep for the hearing, despite paying a monthly fee for the Cape coverage plan, in addition to "Small Claims Plus+". Feels like being nickel and dimed for basic service.
Terrible, horrible, horrible company. Where do I even begin?I started my case in September 2024, and to this day, they still haven’t done anything—yet they keep demanding more money. This was supposed to be a simple eviction letter for one of my tenants, but they have done nothing but delay the process. They are nothing but scammers, taking money without providing any actual service. Stay far away from this company!
Thanks to the professional guidance and attention to detail, Cape Law helped us recover 100% of damages to our property during a fiber optic installation throughout our entire neighborhood. The fiber optic company gave us the runaround for two months refusing accountability/responsibility. Our HOA was extremely distant in wanting to get involved as well. I googled small claims attorneys and found Cape Law. My husband and I could not afford to be taken for a $9000 electrical repair four days before Christmas 2024. I did the work they requested which was gathering information to make a fast and effective resolution. You have to be patient and “listen” to the advice they provide. They are the experts. Patience pays off. We will definitely use them again if necessary. We have also shared their information with many of our friends. We can’t thank Cape enough for making our outlook on 2025 totally do a 360! If you need help, Cape Law is who to contact!
We started out so hopeful for a demand letter, which ended up a disaster from the start. It took over a month to get it to us, after agreeing to write it for $650, not the suggested price in the advertising. After many contacts we finally got first draft and it was BAD. There were so many errors including obvious ones with dates and grammar. It was definitely cut and paste. I had to send it back three times and each time we waited a week for a response back. I finally told them to do the final simple correction and deliver immediately. We waited for another month, not hearing a thing. We assumed that the defendant never responded. We were ready to go with another lawyer and sue, but decided we better contact first. They had the response, but never got it to us. After nicely complaining to them about all of this and hoping we could get something for free, they again put us on hold saying that our case was expedited and they were waiting to hear. I had to call again and again and finally we got an offer from a different attorney to do the negotiation for $700. This process started in September and just ended in February. We’re done.
Please save your time and money and dont use this company. First hearing: the team provided me with incorrect information to attend the Fontana courthouse instead of the Joshua Tree courthouse. Second hearing: Cape- Failed to serve the other partyThird hearing: Cape- Failed to serve the other party in a timely mannerI was supposed to be done with my small claims in September of 2024 and now its March and I have to start over since Cape failed to do their work properly.
