I wish I could give zero stars. We drove a long distance to this hospital because of its reputation, but our experience in the emergency department was extremely disappointing and concerning.

We brought my son in for dizziness, headaches, and chest discomfort, expecting a thorough medical evaluation. Unfortunately, his symptoms were never fully addressed. We left without answers, without a clear diagnosis, and without confidence in the care provided.

The lack of cleanliness was alarming. In the EKG area near check-in, my son was asked to lie on a blanket that was clearly not changed between patients. I personally observed multiple individuals use the same blanket. Another patient had to request a change, and the staff member admitted he had forgotten. This raised serious concerns about infection control.

We were placed in a room and left waiting for hours with very little communication. An IV was inserted into my son’s arm, but nothing was ever connected to it. No fluids, medications, or treatment were given, and no one explained why it was necessary. It caused discomfort and had to be removed at his request.

Another very concerning situation involved patient safety. When my son was uncomfortable, I attempted to adjust his hospital bed. Instead of assisting, a nurse instructed me, his mother, to reach behind the bed and adjust it myself because the bed was not plugged in. This involved heavy medical equipment that I had no training or knowledge to handle. It was unsafe and inappropriate to expect a family member to manage hospital machinery rather than providing proper assistance.

The most concerning part of this experience was the lack of communication and transparency. The physician briefly told us my son was “healthy” and that his labs were “good,” but he did not review what tests were performed, did not explain the results, and did not provide documentation or discharge instructions. We still do not know what labs were run or what the findings were.

When I asked to speak with a supervisor, no one ever came. Even the therapist who spoke with my son did not appear to listen to his concerns.

Overall, the emergency department felt disorganized, unsanitary, and lacking in patient-centered care and communication. Patients and families deserve clear information, respect, and compassionate treatment. I sincerely hope improvements are made so that others do not have a similar experience.

Cedars-Sinai Administrative Executives

Horrible experiences with the following people at the Executive Management level of Cedars-Sinai regarding my complaints about Nataly Akbarshahi MD, ( see my review of my experience with this doctor), her actions and her false records:Stephanie Thomas - Operations Manager. Does not respond to complaints, phone calls or texts. She did post on my CS Link a phone encounter under her name which is as false and convoluted as Dr. Akbarshahi's Clinical Notes. Ms. Thomas has never spoken to me directly. These people just lie.Gina Thaxton - Administration Executive.Be very careful if she calls you. She willbe very friendly, almost folksy. Dismissive and dishonest, only looking to protect the doctor.Trudy Duncan - Asst to Dr. Caroline Goldzweig. Told me my complaints toPatient Advocacy had escalated to Risk Management. But has not responded to subsequent phone calls and email.I have heard nothing from Risk Management. All I have gotten so far is the runaround and lie after lie.Ongoing since Jan. 23, 2026

Cedars Sinai Urgent Care in Los Feliz…

Cedars Sinai Urgent Care in Los Feliz should be shut down. Lost test results, told that I wasn’t eligible for a certain kind of treatment and told another thing on the phone an hour later and yet another thing a few hours after that. Condescending physicians assistant, condescending nurses, a really terrible place to seek care

Cedars Sinai are runninng a scam

Cedars Sinai are runninng a scam. They will take you in for fully covered procedures such as an annual physical and they will carefully sneak in services that are not covered by insurance without explicitly telling you, leading you to believe that is all part of the same visit that's covered. They will also try to keep you there longer so that they can bill for extra time. Don't be suprised if you receive exorbitant bills more than a month later. Even though my experience with the nurse was positive at the time, I can't help to think that they're all in on it, like used car salesmen. They also claim to be a non-profit while taking financial advantage of patients. Avoid this scam at all costs.

Wait time stated is 30 minutes

Wait time stated is 30 minutes. I've been waiting for over 2.5 hrs. Text to concierge unanswered and no one available to take my call to customer service. In the meantime, I'm in pain and the pharmacy is now closed. I thought this would be quicker than going to a walk-in clinic.

Liars and Scammers about insurance

I asked multiple times if my Telehealth call would be covered by my insurance and was repeatedly told it would, and then they still charged me. On top of that, the doctor was rude and ignored me, could hardly hear me because their call service is so bad, and ended up just telling me to go to a different doctor.I highly recommend you use another service
