I have been using the power gauge for a few years now and get value out of relative strength graphs and money flow indicators. I do generally check it before making a stock purchase, but I feel it's more like driving while looking in the rear view mirror. It seems to go negative after the price drop and positive after the price increase. I have found other tools that are better as early warnings. Most of the recommendations and dire / urgent warnings either duplicate other services I subscribe to, or don't pan out. Reminds me of chicken little, if you're old enough to know that story. I have never had a need to contact customer service (a plus). Coverage is pretty broad. Some micro cap stocks sometimes don't show - but that's to be expected.
The power gauge is very useful. I find great leads and make my own selections. The portfolio picks are are 50/50. I do not believe I would have done as well without it. I recently retired and made more in 10 months than I did when working for a year.

Bought their newsletter and Power updates in March 2024. Wrote them a letter in August '24 that an illness would prevent me from doing my daily work in the market and to please cancel my subscription. Assuming that was completed, I never again looked at any of their e-mail. This week I received a renewal for $258 and called them. Customer service informed me that they also chged me for 2025. Additionally, they acknowledged receipt of my cancellation e-mail request from 8/2024 and the fact that since then, I have not opened any newsletters that they continued to send... yet still failed to process my cancellation request from 2024. Someone dropped the ball and rather than OWN THE ERROR, they blamed me for overlooking the emails. I was sick and expected an e-mail would be the GOLD Standard to cancel a subscription. His wife promotes his new company 4-6x per day on CNBC requiring $$$$$$ yet Chaiken cannot be ethical and return the erroneous charge to me from 2025??? Shameless!
Some recommendations were very good, some were not so good. That’s fairly common with investment newsletters. I like the power gauge and technical data. My criticisms are: 1) the list of 10 stocks recommended early in 2025 was taken off the website after a few months as I think too many were big losers; 2) his videos with a stock recommendation at the end are far too long (60-90 minutes) and list many winners throughout the talk, many that I can’t recall being discussed in his newsletters.
I have used Chaikin Analytics for about 2-3 years. I have invested my time over the years reading books by successful investors. Each author had a prefered strategy and within that strategy a prefered indicator. The Chaikin power gauge incorporates most of those indicators. The power gauge is a backward looking rating based on the previous days closing price so it gives you a rating on the very recent past, it is not a crystal ball. The system algorythm reviews 5000 stocks daily. Not all 5000 are recomedations. The ones that are recomended have an detailed explanation as to why they are recomended and you should read it to make your own investment decision. I have made more than 20 times my subscription investment with the power gauge. As a result of using the system my portfolio has been increased by over $200,000 inspite of taking significant monthly retirement withdrawls. As an example, my last investment in the power portfolio, which sector rotates every 3 months, made a 25% profit while the SPY made less than 10% during the same 3 month period. I do not invest is any stock witlh at least checking the power gauge's evaluation.
