Our flight from LAX to Cleveland was canceled without notification! We had to purchase from another site, but it’s only few days away so we had pay so much more.
My daughter has a competition in Cleveland. I was searching for flights from LAX -> CLE and their site popped out as the cheapest. Within hours, they called us as well as sending email to let us know that the booking was canceled due to no availability for that price. They said we must upgrade in order to secure our booking and we agreed. (I didn’t have good feeling about it but it was still cheaper, so I thought let’s give it another try). After agreeing to pay more, they sent us email with confirmation. I was so happy that I found good deal. It was $250 cheaper than if I would had booked from another site, so $130 per person cheaper. Oh boy was I so wrong!!! And I regret to not go with my instinct.
3wks ago, I went on to United Airline to see if I could select seats. I didn’t see anything, but I thought maybe it was still far away.
2wks ago, I tried again. Still nothing! I sent the agent email to ask. The same agent we communicated back when they requested more $ to secure the bookings. No response, so I called and spoke to another agent. He said please call back 10days prior to your departure day. ***Note: the first agent never replied back to me.
Yesterday, 7days prior to our departure, I called because I still couldn’t see our itinerary on United website. At this time, my instinct was telling me “You are screwed” and it was right! Another agent told me “YOUR BOOKING WAS CANELED DUE TO TICKET SOLD OUT! SORRY!!!” And the worst was I never got any notification email. Imagine if I waited until couple days before we flight?
OMG… What the heck?!!! I was so upset and mad. I was mad at myself to not listen to my first instincts. When they first try to trick you into cheap price then telling you to pay more to secure the bookings, I should say no.
Now we have no choice but to pay at a much higher price because too close to our dates. Lucky, there are still exact same flight, same time and date, but at a much more cost. So they lied about “tickets were all sold out”
I have been using Priceline for over 1yr, and I should stick with them. Their prices are so far still the most compatible and the process was seamless. You get what you get. Never any tricks. This Cheapflightfares is nothing but a click bate.
Long story short: if I booked at Priceline, this flight would cost us around 980, but we paid 730 to Cheapflightfares. Now, same flight on Priceline cost 1,300 vs our booking was canceled from Cheapflightfares. At the end, we DIDN’T save $250. We paid $300 more plus the unnecessary stress to purchase from this website. I learned my lesson!!!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE TO ANYONE! I wish I could give them a zero star.
Oh and they said our money will not be refunded in 20days. Now I have to call my credit card to make sure they refund back our money.
Check out Priceline. They are so honest and very easy to use!!!! Their customer supports are very good also.
So rude and so unhelpful. They tried to get me to spend another $1000 on a replacement flight on a completely different airline. I bought refundable tickets but they claimed that it's now not refundable. I am fighting them to get my money back and they spam called me to say I could get the refund if I removed the claim from the bank. So sketchy, I'd give them zero stars if I could.
I checked in online paid extra for it processed to get to the airport for them to tell me it didn’t go through and they can do nothing about it i spent $632 on a ticket and got nothing back the airport said they are a third party and have nothing to do with them i would never trust this website again.
Had to book a last minute flight for a loved one but their WiFi was not working so they could not access any of the booking info. Contacted support/chat and Scout was super helpful and got everything situated for me in a matter of minutes. Super grateful.
$274.24 canculation fee. You are forwarned renters. After being put on hold multiple times over a period of 37 minutes and 22 second and trying to communicate with multiple individuals that spoke broken English. We wanted to cancel the car rental because we no longer needed it. Due to my brother allowing us to borrow his car. But it was not with in 24 hours time frame. So the charge of 324.24 went thru. They were very unhelpful and hard to understand. They were willing to refund 50 dollars and still said they were charging a $$$274.24 cancelation fee. Wow!!! What a Rip. My husband told "Arlo" do not cancel the reservations 4x he even ask him do you understand? If were going to pay that much she will just rent the car. Do not cancel. "Arlo" said yes I understand and you reservation is still confirmed. We ended the conversation Then we instantly got an email refunding us 50 dollars and they keeping the $274.24 cancelation fee.. what a rip off.... that is not the way to run a business if you ever want a repeat customer. Or a customer for that matter. Then after a second 6 minute 4 second conversation with "Daniel", who also speaking broken english.. are car rental is not canceled now. We are billed $324.24 and there "should be a car waiting". We will see if we are charged the $274.24 cancelation fee plus the $324.24 to rent the car. Will wait and see. Probably going to need to get the credit card involved. What a bunch of crooks. If you are wanting to rent. You are forewarned!!!! You might want to rent from the other guy. Just saying. Negative 9 stars
I successfully booked my flight for a trip to Detroit. The representative was extremely helpful, courteous, and very professional. When I was placed on hold, he explained the reason and checked in with me during the wait. I'm very satisfied with the service provided.
The representative was incredibly patient and dedicated time to find seating options that fit our budget while ensuring extra legroom for my husband's knee issue. Thank you for your assistance. However, I must update my review. While the representative was helpful, the company itself is UNETHICAL. Initially, they confirmed my flights, but then I received urgent communications stating the flight was overbooked, requiring a change that would cost an additional $279. I paid that amount. Later, when I inquired about an upgrade for more legroom, I was given confirmed seats and charged an extra $250, only to receive another urgent message saying they could not guarantee those seats and would still charge me the same fee. UNETHICAL—AVOID BOOKING WITH THEM.
I truly wish I could rate them lower. This company has shattered my wife’s and my dreams of visiting our grandchildren for Christmas. Our flight was canceled on October 8, and they have refused to refund $549. In our late 70s, this might have been our final opportunity to travel. We urge everyone to consider boycotting low-cost flights, as they appear to employ questionable tactics that harm customers.
