My experience as a driver with Citizenshipper was deeply disappointing and emotionally exhausting. I joined the platform in good faith, expecting fairness, professionalism, and equal treatment. Unfortunately, that expectation was not met.
Throughout my time as a driver, I observed consistent inequities in how policies were applied and how driver concerns were addressed. Support interactions often felt dismissive, lacking empathy or genuine investigation. Decisions appeared to be made without transparency, leaving drivers feeling powerless and unheard.
As a driver of color, this experience carried an additional emotional burden. Repeated interactions created the impression that certain drivers were treated with greater skepticism and less grace than others. Whether intentional or not, the cumulative effect was an environment that felt unequal and alienating.
What is most troubling is that these concerns did not appear to be isolated incidents but part of a broader pattern within the organization. When systems fail to recognize or correct these disparities, they risk reinforcing harm rather than fostering inclusion.
I wanted this platform to succeed—for myself and for the community it serves—but the lack of accountability, equity, and respectful engagement made that impossible. Until Citizenshipper takes meaningful steps to address these issues and ensure fair treatment for all drivers, I cannot recommend working with them.
I was really happy when I first posted about transporting two of my cats from Idaho to Texas. Within an hour or so I had 15 bids for the trip. I like that each driver profile has their own reviews and the chat function is easy to use and navigate. I've used CitizenShipper a couple times now and I will continue to go back for pet transport!

Abdul, the driver, was very responsive to our questions, and so patient and kind to our very anxious dog. He put both the dog and us at ease. Citizen shipper is great! I had an issue with a flight nanny and had to cancel. Citizen shipper responded to my emails within an hour every time I sent one. They also got my money back from this particular flight nanny when I complained about my experience. I would use them again in a heartbeat!
