I have had many transactions with in the commercial bank kandana and i regret to say that that they work hard with multi tasking and this makes the customer waste time like forever. Right now trying get two debit cards and it had taken one and half hours and still waiting . Even, because of my past experience i have changed the branch from kandana to Yala because the assistant manager was rude during a transaction at that time . However, must also mention that the Manager is so helpful and prominent and has all the professional ethics and customer support. But, what can she do because no matter what, if the staff employs dont have the passion and customer service skills within them to serve the customers. Sadly this is the reality within this branch kandana
Has the worst customer service and their card issuing processes take so much time.I applied for a credit card as they've mentioned it will take 5- 10 days to issue the card. But now it is the 4th WEEK and I still didn't get the card. They are keep saying that they will issue the card in next week every time I cal them.

This has been one of the worst banking experiences I have had, particularly as an international customer.Since 15 October 2024, I have been requesting a simple and essential update to my OTP-registered mobile number because I am residing in the UK and no longer have access to my Sri Lankan number. The Digital Banking team copied Ravinath Ranaveera and Sadanadi Ratnayaka from the Makola and Kiribathgoda branches, yet no one took responsibility.Despite multiple follow-up emails and a formal complaint lodged on 30 October 2024, my requests were completely ignored. There has been no acknowledgement, no explanation, and no resolution. Because of this negligence, I am still unable to access my own bank account or carry out legitimate transactions from overseas.For a bank that claims to serve global and expatriate customers, this level of disregard, lack of accountability, and poor communication is unacceptable. Commercial Bank urgently needs to address how it treats customers living abroad and how complaints are handled at branch and digital banking levels.I would strongly caution international customers to think twice.
Very bad customer service from WELIWERIYA branch..Today I wanted deposit cash to company current account The security sent me to front officer..then front officer sent me to Manager. He given me deposit slip..But counter Lady rejected my slip..she asked for going E slip..I said I haven't time for install APPS At that time..then I sent to Executive ..so I had to scold all of them & then all agreed to accept deposit slip.. Because my company request deposit slips that's our procedure..Bank officers dont' care customer needs..What a joke ...Like that they wasted my time than 20 minutes for deposit 88,000..Very unpleasant Experience from Weliweriya commercial bank..
