Not impressed with home delivery service. How can they not have any skimmed milk?! I ordered 4pts, if that size was not available, surely they could have offered 1pt or 2pts? Or even semi-skimmed? The 'courier' did not advise that milk was out of stock, just said "thats what they handed to me, its not my fault". I won't be using again if they cannot even supply the basics (I wasnt asking for cavier!).
They insist on taking a substitute product charge at the time of the order, but never once in the history of ordering with them have they substituted a missing item. Needless to say, I don't order delivery from them anymore
Concerned to read the reviews of the CoOp here and the behaviour of staff. Having just read the BBC news about the gaslighting of staff and poor executive decisions by the leader I am not surprised. Behaviour is modelled by leadership. As many customers are members of the Co op I am wondering why staff at the top are leaving in droves, why staff feel demoralised and what we can do as members to protect the ethos of this organisation.
Southern co op on Wells Rd Bristol is my local store. It's expensive but I overlooked that for convenience but what I can no longer overlook is the culture of rudeness, borderline aggression by some of the shop staff. My last experience was so awful Ive decided to not go there again but will have to walk further for the local tesco store. The rudeness is often when you ask for their help and the response is like you are asking for something outrageous and not to remove a security tab or asking for a carrier bag which they squirrel away behind their counter. They don't man the tills meaning you have to actively find someone and for some reason they hate this. Ive seen bad behaviour towards other customers so I know it's not just me.
Unmarkd Halal meat. All their meat is brutally religiously slaughtered. As a christian, eating meat that has been blessed in a religious sacrament is completely against my beliefs. Co Op is practicing religious discrimination against non Muslim customers.
DON'T ORDER ON-LINE WITH CO-OP FOOD !Amongst other things I orders 2 Meal Deals costing £8.20, but on delivery the Co-op failed to include the actual sandwiches quoting Out-of-Stock, but they then charged me £7.60 for the drinks & snacks. I rang their customer services assuming they would refund me the over payment only to be told that it says in their T&Cs that they will charge the full amount for items if deals are not complete !Well any company that stitches their customers up like that doesn't deserve my business anymore !
Delivery service is a total joke, lost count the amount of times something had gone wrong. Last night and in-store colleague gave the courier the wrong order. Customer service tried to blame me initially and said they would organise a re-delivery within 20 minutes. Bear in mind that amongst all of this I am autistic so phone calls can be very difficult for me . 30 minutes later - no sign in sight of food. Spoke to a more helpful customer service person who this time was at least less rude and said the previous call handler hadn't actually rearranged delivery and said it should be with me within before 9pm. It wasn't. On the phone... Again. This person said they would rearrange it and put it in the priority queue. 10pm arrives (I've now been waiting for my order which was picked and ready to go for the 7pm slot - including frozen items!) and now the store is closed. I have yet to hear if my refund request is being processed and that whole process is in itself a joke - people shouldn't have to wait days to get their money back. Luckily I've managed to borrow some money from someone to at least get the loo roll I ordered from a more reliable well-known supermarket that does fast deliveries first thing as I'm currently too unwell to go out. Don't want a scenario of having to improvise in the next couple of days while I wait for my refund... A common issue is substituons especially around deals. In store colleagues lack brain power in this department. For example - online will show a variety of items in stock for the lunch meal deal. If, for example the drink is out of stock; the sensible thing to do would be to just chuck in any old drink at least so the customer still gets the deal price. Apparently not. They just send the sarnie and snack and charge you more because now you don't have the deal. Co-operative? Time to rethink your whole company name and supposed values because they clearly give zero Efs about their members.
Visited coop tamworth off Ashby Road. There was one female cashier on. I could see she was putting together a home delivery. At no time whilst she was behind the counter did she look at me to acknowledge I was there. She turned around to log in some details so her back was facing me. I don't mind waiting. But she refused just to acknowledge I was waiting. Her demeanor was very rude. She finally served me. There were self check ins, but I was having a particular bad day with my arthritis, so chose to be served. All she needed to do was look up, and tell me she would be with me in a minute. She deliberately chose not to, leaving me wondering if I was suppose to use the self scans. Just a nod to me would have been enough. Then I would know she knew I was there, although I'm sure she knew this. Don't like to give bad reviews, but just a bit a friendly nod was all that was needed.
