My internship in Japan has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I gained practical experience working at a company dedicated to pharmaceutical development, where I conducted research and contributed findings to enhance their biological models. With no prior research background, this opportunity taught me how to research effectively, a skill that will serve me well in my future career. Living in Japan and immersing myself in such a unique culture was one of the most diverse and enriching experiences I have encountered. It greatly contributed to my personal growth and adaptability, instilling in me the confidence to live and work anywhere in the world. I still reflect on the incredible time I had during the internship program in Shanghai. I completed a six-week internship, preceded by a two-week business and finance course, spending one week in Shanghai and the next in Beijing. The course was exceptionally organized, providing valuable insights into work life in China. My internship placement was excellent, allowing me to work in both Audit and Marketing. This experience helped me develop essential transferable skills beneficial for my career progression and job search after university. I wholeheartedly recommend this program for internships, as it has expanded into many cities and countries worldwide, offering great networking opportunities.
