Your website was clear as far as what kit to go with based on age. Setting up the monthly gift was easy and straightforward. I appreciated that you were clear stating the steps to cancel the subscription. I would have preferred an option to subscribe for 3 months.
We are stationed overseas and are very relieved to see that crunch labs delivers to APO and FPO addresses! This means our mini engineer can keep building where ever we live!
The customer support has been lacking. After ordering the Build Boxes for several years, we decided to upgrade to the Hack Pack this year. Unfortunately, the first Hack Pack doesn't work, and the instructions for the coding interface are minimal. I've reached out multiple times for assistance, only to be told that a representative named Bill will respond. It seems there's only one person addressing these issues, and he must be overwhelmed with all the malfunctioning Hack Packs.
Cancelling a recurring subscription is extremely challenging. They fail to provide reminders, and once your card is charged—even before receiving the initial box—they deny any request for a full refund on the yearly subscription. This is not the level of service I would endorse. It feels like outright theft.
While trying to order a gift, your system automatically charged his mother's previously existing account, although, I had entered my billing, my bank account, my address for billing!I did enter his parent's address and named the recipient.Somehow another, YOUR SYSTEM, thought it was an automatic renewalMuch to my chagrin, I had to contact his mother to let her know, her account, had been charged!!!!I finally found a contact phone number at the bottom of the page and called.The young rep listened patiently thru my rantings and although he finally got it all solved..... I think??
Difficult site. Main concern seemed to be getting commitment & money rather than ease of selection. No place to mark as a gift or to include a message. Did not care for this. Kind of sleazy. Would not have even bothered to complete purchase but it’s for my grandson’s birthday.
Our 5 year old engineer-to-be son asked for this as a Christmas gift. So excited to see his reaction when he opens up his first box!!! As far as the purchase: Excellent online experience from start to finish. Crystal clear guidance on which package will work best - super easy signup process. Legit 5 stars.
