What a gorgeous store! I could spend all day at Cumbria Crystal. I ran into the store the other day in desperate need of a last minute birthday gift. Tom was excellent! In recent times we've been trying to support British industry and were delighted to find Cumbria Crystal.The glass they produce is quite simply, beautiful - we bought t-light holders and tumblers - all from the UK shopping outlet - and the pieces are gorgeous!! The customer service is excellent - there was an issue with one of the deliveries which was quickly resolved by Nick. The items are extremely well packaged and the compostable / biodegradable starch based loose fill chip is already breaking down nicely, in our fixed garden compost containers!If we are ever passing, we will be popping in to look around and maybe sample the glass blowing experience!
I visited their showroom recently and bought a Whisky glass from the Grasmere range. The quality of their glassware is amazing. It’s no wonder the Royal Family and British Embassies use them as default. Very friendly and helpful staff on my visit also. Would definitely recommend.
I recently purchased two wine goblets from Cumbria Crystal and they arrived in a box absolutely filled with styrofoam packing peanuts. I was honestly quite shocked and very disappointed to see that the company hadn’t opted for the biodegradable version, which is widely available. In fact, I’m left with this horrible feeling that, by buying from them, I will be putting an entire garbage bag of non degradable plastics into the ocean. The packing peanuts literally fill an entire garbage bag - for two wine glasses!With the world as it currently is, companies have a responsibility to do better. I really hope they review their packaging policy.
Cannot praise this company enough for the outstanding level of service that they provide. I ordered a double old fashioned whiskey tumbler for my husband for Christmas ( sort James Bond uses in Casino Royale). The standard of communication through the whole ordering process was first class good old fashioned polite service. I was given a personal contact for any queries (Nick), He kept me informed at every stage as to the progress with the order. Delivery was much faster than expected as they do warn that items may be slow for delivery as they are made to order. The package which arrived was beautifully and securely wrapped. The glass is exquisite, I cannot wait to see my husbands face when he receives it. The items are a little pricey but the quality is outstanding and this is what one is paying for. Highly recommend Cumbria Crystal for that extra special present.
I first contacted Cumbria Crystal at Christmas as I wanted to treat my husband to one of their beautiful decanters, a high ball tumbler and two champagne flutes.I phoned and spoke to a lovely young lady called Charlotte who was incredibly helpful.Needless to say my husband was delighted on Christmas Day and I have been back again ordering a few more pieces, this time a gin glass and two brandy bowls. I will continue to buy until I have a full set, this may take a while as they are rather special treats but the quality is such that I cannot consider anything else.A wonderful shopping experience and now a lifelong customer.Love this company!
