Customer Service was awful! I did the trial and was never told about a shipment coming out then had $108 taken from my account and they could not even help me figure out how to get that money back. I cannot afford paying that for something that may or may not work because the trial size showed me nothing it barely got me through a week. This product is not amazing or save all for your skin it is very trial and error and extremely pricey. They don’t send reminders to remind you to cancel and can’t provide any help for people that have that unexpected charge. There is skincare companies that are just as good that also have good customer service but this one doesn’t.
My experience has always been great here at curology. I have been prescribed some of the best formula to help with my acne and inflammation. The customer service team was very helpful and open to hear about my concern with my package delivery and fix the problem right away. Thank you so much to the amazing team at curology.
I accidentally ordered the SPF instead of the moisturizer, I reached out to customer service to see if there was anything that could be done (I was thinking me return the SPF and get the moisturizer instead), But instead, they just said that they would ship out my moisturizer for me, free of charge! Then I got the package, and it was the wrong moisturizer. I contacted them again to let them know that it wasn't the correct moisturizer that I usually get, and AGAIN, They shipped out the correct one, AGAIN, FREE of charge!! Now THAT'S great customer service!! The only thing I DON'T like about Curology customer service is that they only have chat or text available, no PHONE NUMBER. I find that extremely annoying with EVERY business that goes this route, I just don't get it, BUT, I will say I find the text option a million times better than the chat option. The chat option sucks because you have to sit there on the page waiting for them to respond, you can't go into another app while you're waiting or do anything other than stare at your phone because if you do, you're going to miss it when they respond. At least with text, you get a notification sound when they respond. Easy peasy. Still though, I think most people/customers PREFER a customer service phone line. And one WITHOUT all the AI / automated bs hoops you need to jump though to get a REAL LIVE HUMAN BEING on the phone.
I want to start out by saying: Skincare really is hit or miss. Everybody's skin and biology is different. Sometimes you will not find the right treatment first time. You really should work closely with a dermatologist to find your best fit. It took me years to find what worked for me. I have hormonal acne and need to take Spironolactone on top of topicals. I have severe acne scarring from years of not treating my skin properly.However, I now know tretinoin works well for me. I don't have insurance right now, so I use online services frequently anyway. $30-40 for a month of tret is pretty common. Curology gives you a custom formula. Mine has Tret, Azelaic acid, and Tranexamic acid. They even offer a free month to try the product. After that, $60 for 2 months if you're on auto ship but it seems like you can also get a month supply for $35 on its own. So that's actually 3 medications that price. And best part, the consultation, prescription, shipping, and communication with a Dermatologist is included in that price. I got the free month trial and I am in love. The serum is a lot lighter and easier to get all over than a standard Tret cream. I am also completely obsessed with the rich cream moisturizer. It makes my skin feel soooo nice. I just bought more of it as well as their SPF 30 moisturizer and the limited edition Sugar and Spice Lip Balm.Oh, and actual humans will reply to your messages. Like... that's so rare these days lol. You do talk to their ai assistant first but I actually got a reply in an email from a human without expecting it! And the dermatologist I've been assigned is very responsive and kind. I am always skeptical about things like this but I gotta say I am really, really satisfied with Curology. I'll probably keep using them even if I do get insurance this year because having 3 meds in one can't be beat.
Total scam. I tried it for a promotional deal because it was only for $5, and absolutely nowhere did they indicate that they were forcing you into a subscription where you'd be automatically charged. Not only that, but they made it seem like it was originally $45, but when I was charged again, I was charged $90. They said they don't take refunds on subscription orders. After I cancelled my subscription, I can no longer view my order to see why it was so much. Super sketchy
I wanted to like this company, I ordered the trials for both my son and I, and I wanted to adjust a product since I didn't like how it made my face feel, and I wasn't sure if it was really helping with what I needed. I tried reaching out to the provider answering questions and uploading photos, but never got any responses, and wanted to prevent a $110 charge with new products that I don't want, but I was having trouble with customer service both times, and it became frustrating. Needless to say, I tried to stop the future charge and new shipment from happening, but they weren't willing to work with me, and I understand the policy, but like others, I have tried to prevent this, and I am in the negative in my bank account, and I need the full refund, and return these products since I needed something else. I was hoping to actually verbally speak with a specialist. I am now stuck with something I am not happy with, and my son liked his, and wanted to try the full size, but now we feel like Curology is more about money than the care of their customer. I normally do not leave negative reviews, because I don't like to, but we are disappointed. As a single mom with limited income, this is too much. I just wanted to give them a try and help my son as well.
