We absolutely loved Daniel playing during our wedding evening celebrations. His energy is electric, and he kept everyone dancing all night long! He is incredibly talented and played seamlessly alongside our amazing DJ, creating an unforgettable sound and an incredible party atmosphere. Thank you so much, Daniel!
We booked Daniel Costin to perform at our wedding at Knightor Winery on Saturday 12 July 2025, with the specific request that he play our first dance at 8:00pm. In writing, Daniel confirmed he would arrive before 8:00pm to be set up and ready. Unfortunately, he did not arrive until around 10:00pm — two hours late — and crucially, he failed to communicate this with anyone.During that time, both of our wedding coordinators attempted to contact him multiple times without success. This lack of communication caused us significant stress at what should have been one of the happiest moments of our lives. Because of his lateness, we missed our first dance entirely. Our photographer, who kindly stayed over an hour longer than scheduled, had to leave without capturing that moment — something that cannot be replaced. When Daniel did eventually arrive, he explained afterwards that he had suffered sunstroke from playing at another wedding that afternoon. We are empathetic to health issues — they can happen — but the key issue is that he had chosen to take on another wedding the very same day, pushed himself too far, and then failed to let anyone at our wedding know what was happening. Even a short message or phone call could have prevented so much stress and uncertainty. We also need to note that, when he finally arrived, his attitude came across as dismissive and lacking accountability, which only added to our disappointment. It is important to say this does not appear to be an isolated incident. A friend of a friend who married at Tunnels in the summer of 2024 experienced almost the exact same issue: Daniel arrived over two hours late, failed to communicate, and as a result they also missed their first dance. That speaks to a troubling pattern rather than a one-off mistake.Looking back, we should have taken more seriously something he said on our pre-booking call. When we told him how pleased we were that he was available on our date, he replied: “I think you’re just lucky to be honest.” He also told us he plays over 250 weddings a year. It now seems clear he books himself back-to-back, taking advantage of the demand, without ensuring he can deliver the reliable service couples deserve on such an important day. That approach feels careless and unsustainable, and unfortunately, we became one of the couples who paid the price. That said, once he began performing later in the evening, our guests enjoyed the music, and we are grateful for that part of his contribution. But the fact remains: the service he was specifically booked and contracted to provide — performing our first dance — never happened. If you are considering booking Daniel for your wedding or another important event, we would strongly caution you to think very carefully about whether you are willing to risk the same level of stress and disappointment that we — and other couples — have experienced.
Our close friends had the extreme misfortune of booking Dan Costin for their wedding, and what should have been a joyful celebration was marred by his astonishing lack of professionalism. Dan arrived over two hours late to the venue without providing any form of communication to our friends, the wedding planners or venue staff. Not a call. Not a message. Nothing. This complete disregard for punctuality and common courtesy caused significant disruption to the carefully planned timeline of the event which meant that our friends missed their first dance coupled with their photographer having to leave (after staying an hour longer than initially planned). Guests were left waiting, the mood was soured, and all because of one individual's inability to fulfill a basic professional commitment. To make matters worse, when Dan finally did arrive, he displayed a shockingly rude and dismissive attitude, showing zero accountability for his lateness or look to communicate with anyone on site.Dan Costin failed on his professional commitment over this occasion. If you're planning a special event and expect your vendors to act with even a shred of responsibility, avoid this individual at all costs.
Dan played at our wedding & he was incredible! He played me down the aisle to my favourite song on the violin (I requested it as it wasn't on his list & he learnt it for me), he was the star of the show playing fireball and bringing the energy while the groomsmen walked down the aisle with a wheelbarrow full of beer & made our reception drinks vibe! Would 100% recommend

We hired Daniel for our works Christmas do and he was fantastic. He definitely got everyone in the party mood and everyone was talking about how great he was when we got back in the office. I would without hesitation book him again and would absolutely recommend him.
Very disappointed to say that Daniel has just cancelled our wedding with 6 weeks notice. His excuse essentially is because he has had a better offer. I have supported Daniel attending multiple of his gigs and was very excited to have him perform throughout the evening of our wedding as our main entertainment. This was booked well over a year in advance of our date. I would urge you to think twice about booking this unreliable performer.
Daniel is seriously one of the best entertainers in the world! His natural talent on the sax is one thing but how he gets the party started with his high energy, dancing and pure showmanship is amazing x x so friendly and kind. Cannot wait to book him again and see him at a local gig. He made the party and I'll never forget his fantastic set :)
We booked Dan for our Wedding - he travelled all the way to Newmarket! He set the day off brilliantly - everyone was singing along before the ceremony! Then he played us into the room before the Speeches, and did his sets towards the end of Dinner. It was unbelievable - everyone was up dancing, having a good time. People haven’t stopped mentioning him since!Couldn’t thank him enough! Definitely recommend.
