Event Cinemas Shellharbour is my favourite cinema. The seats are new and they have 6 screens. I love to go on Cheapscate Tuesdays where we can see a movie for as little as $12.50. The lollies and ice cream is expensive so I take my own.

The gift cards they choose to use can fail. The pin on the back 'even though carefully revealed' disinigrated. On contacting event cinemas about the $100 failed gift card they advised that there is nothing they can do but you will have to go back and get the original receipt from the person who gifted the card (some months ago) even though they have already provided the machine receipt. I hope I am painting a picture of how useless these gift cards are.
Visited EVENT CINEMAS (Robina )today to watch Moana 2. After visiting the popcorn/drinks stand, we felt completely ripped off-$17.60 for a small popcorn and drink. There were no prices disclosed. Goodbye EVENT CINEMAS, you’ve just lost several customers!
Trying to get a refund on a Gold Class ticket as we were evacuated due to a fire before the movie even started. Have lodged 4 tickets and sent several emails but no response. Very disappointed at not receiving a refund for a genuine situation that was not my fault.
Why is there so many reviews from as long as 7 years ago that Liverpool Event cinema is outdated and nothing has been done to improve things ? I walked in last weekend at the whole place yawned at me I was transported back to the early 2000’s no wonder there were no customers around !! It’s not like it’s cheap to see a movie or the snacks are cheap it’s honestly better to watch Netflix at home
Tuggerah Cinema, June 15th 2024Long line to buy tickets from staffed counter, 2 of the 3 self serve ticket kiosks at the main entrance were out of order, the sanitiser station had no sanitiser, the main male toilet had a cubicle out of order, there was urine all over another toilet that was poorly lit, the hand driers didn't work, the sink faucet swiveled when you operated it due to no maintenance, inadequate seating in foyer, no staff to check tickets on your way to the cinema, the cinema was freezing throughout the movie (in the middle of winter, and I was already layered up with warm clothes and a beanie) and 20 minutes of adverts! I see why many people don't go to the cinema, apart from it also being expensive! How can anyone run a business this way?
I just purchased 4 tickets by mistake should have beenKung Fu Panda 4 but my finger slipped to Godzilla X Kong The New Empire. My husband and I are taking our grandkids to see that movie. Please can you change it to Kung Fu Pand 12.45 pm show
