I don't recognize the issues in the many recent one-star reviews. I suspect it's a coordinated lender or Disinformation of debitum. I have invested since 2021 and the only issue I have encountered is delayed loans due to the war in Ukraine.I find it safe to invest in Debitum as it is regulated under MiFID II — one of the most stringent regulatory frameworks in the EU.
I have never felt so misled by an investment platform. I invested €12,000 with Debitum Investments after reading their “TrustScore” of 4 out of 5 on Trustpilot, and seeing the 81 reviews, which seemed decent at first. I was looking for alternative investment options, and the platform’s claim of providing business loans across Europe seemed promising.Unfortunately, my experience was far from positive.Lack of Transparency: The platform markets itself as an alternative investment solution, but there’s a massive gap in information regarding the businesses you’re actually funding. I had no clear picture of how my money was being used or who was receiving the loans.Missed Payments and Delays: For the past several months, I’ve been facing significant delays in receiving my expected returns. Not once did they offer any clear explanation for these delays, and their customer service is practically non-existent.Inconsistent Communication: Whenever I tried to reach out for an update, I received vague responses that barely addressed my concerns. This has caused a lot of frustration, as I was simply left in the dark about my investments.Total Loss: After months of waiting and hoping, I have lost the entire €12,000 investment. There were no warnings or steps taken to safeguard the investment, and there has been no effort to reimburse or compensate affected investors.No Accountability: Despite my multiple attempts to get in touch, there has been no significant follow-up. Their "TrustScore" does not reflect the reality of the platform. A score of 4 out of 5 is misleading when the platform fails to meet basic expectations of transparency, communication, and customer service.In conclusion, I regret my decision to invest with Debitum Investments. Your investment questionnaire asks questions that are completely unrelated to the second investment. I have not seen such a complicated questionnaire even at Interactive Brookers. I trade with financial derivatives and stocks. And your so-called protection of some banks does not protect investors at all in practice because it does not address whether the projects will be repaid or not, which is what you should mainly focus on and not on bluffing people. But it only addresses the fact that you will not run away with the money we have in your savings accounts and that they are essentially separated in some way. But the protection of investments as such is not addressed at all by any Latvian bank or supervision. The European Union is a stupid institute that only bothers people with its regulations and in practice it has almost no impact. Besides, all honest people are extremely irritated.And why am I actually going through all this to see six loans from two providers that you keep spinning around?
Amazing P2P platform, the only thing missing and costing a star in the review is a loyalty program that many competitors have. I hope Debitum adds it to value loyal and higher investing investors.
