Review Time
The loan car I was given had no windscreen washer fluid in it - pretty sure that it’s illegal to drive like that. DL had my vehicle for 3 working days and only managed to fix one of the issues that it went in for under warranty. I was told that parts were on back oder and could I come and collect it as they need their car back ASAP. That was at the beginning of January am I’m still waiting for a resolution to this day.
A total lack of communication from the service department meant I was the one chasing, being passed between service advisors - who were always 'with another customer' and never available when I called. Calls that were sometimes never returned.
Even the coffee machine was broken in reception when I came to collect my car, not that I was ever offered anything by anyone.
It seems to me that DL has far too much work on at any one time to be able to offer good customer service. I'm sure you treat customers like royalty if they wish to buy something, but the service experience has left a very bad taste and is not what I expected from a large BMW franchise. A total disgrace and contempt for the customer at every level.
I will not be using DL again in future and will be sticking with a non-franchise BMW specialist instead.
Luke Holland the sales executive was exceptional. He answered all questions posed in a professional manner . The lady on reception was also delightful. Once a test drive was taken and the sale was agreed Luke made the whole process seamless. Handover day was pleasurable smooth and efficient. If you want to take the plunge and buy a used Aston with timeless warranty this is the place to go !

A+ Customer service @ BristolI visited today to look at a potential company car, not to buy one, sales exec James M looked after me, explained all the BMW idiosyncrasies regarding spec and models and even provided a test drive of a lovely 3 series touring. Cant recommend James highly enough and the whole feel of the dealership was above and beyond expectations. Car chosen, maybe i’ll be back to buy a bike..
The sales staff listened to what we wanted. They then sourced the right vehicle and made every effort to explain its many merits. At the point of sale they took time to explain the many new functions the Velar had to offer. Overall, exemplary service. Thank you Tim Chard in particular.
We broke down on the M5 near Cribbs Causeway recently with a broken front suspension spring which destroyed the near-side front tyre. Fortunately, we are in the AA so we arranged for them to take the car and us to Richard Lovett BMW. (Trustpilot won’t let me put the correct company name - how stupid is that?? 😂)We were kept informed of progress and cost and the car was fixed ahead of schedule. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and we especially want to mention Steve Wooles, the courtesy bus driver. He recognised us walking to the bus stop and stopped to give us a lift. Really lovely guy and exceptional service.
