Started using this company as management for care funds to pay for mother's care. Myself being the named person on the bank/account. They send invoice, i check invoice is correct and authorise payment. On numerous occasions now, when confirming that the invoice can be paid, i have had a bounce back email advising the email response could not be paid. This leads to the payments to the care companies being delayed and the care company chasing myself causing tensions. On one occasion when the email bounced back on four occasions. I had to call to authorise the payment to be paid. It was not paid, i telephoned and asked why it had not been paid to which they advised it had not been processed despite my request. They said it would be done only for me to get a call a couple of days later from the care company advising it had still not been received. It was eventually paid some weeks later but bearing in mind this is a service paid for by myself, it certainly lacks trust and professionalism. Its really simple, if you cannot provide a service, do not open a business and take people's money. Yesterday, a further email bounced back five times, telephone only to be asked numerous questions about the invoice that they originally sent me. 9 minutes later and they say it will be paid today but i wont hold my breath. Awful awful company. The Local Authority really need to be looking at why they recommend this company as clearly they are not fit for the job. Its easier to set up your own bank and pay the invoices yourself. Do not recommend

Terrible company

Terrible company. I lasted a couple of weeks working as a PA. Disability Positive wash their hands of any questions or concerns you have. They informally set up jobs without DBS, safeguarding, or any concerns about what you’re walking into. Very unsafe and should be avoided.

Shocking company

Shocking company! Wages are never paid on time. There is always a different excuse from ‘They are short staffed’ to ‘your employer hasn’t put the hours in on time’ all of which is lies! I am having to phone up every month on the day I am due to be paid and chase wages they then tell me it will be 3 working days that the wages will be in, which again is lies as it can be put in on the same day which eventually they do, do! All of this messing around and drama causes so much stress and worry as I have bills to pay and a child to feed. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Terrible turnover of staff

Terrible turnover of staff. Lost count how many Clerks I've had. Supposed to just ring in hrs of pa and they do rest. Had numerous problems, they messed up pension, maternity and tax. So stressful dealing with them. Considering moving provider.

Chaotic and Unreliable RE: Wages

When it runs smooth, it's great, but nine times out of ten, the payroll and supported banking department is unreliable, often leaving care and support workers dealing with bank charges because Disability Positive fail to submit wages in to the bank on time. It's stressful having to chase up wages every month.

Disability positive

Disability positive - Describe themselves as a 'Non profit organisation'. Based in Northwhich Cheshire they are a centre for Independant Living and manage payments for clients with disabilities. Our experience of disability positive has been terrible!...Five months later they have still not paid the PA, they just give us excuse after excuse over the phone, first they needed a PAYE Reference from HMRC, then they couldn't generate the PA's payslip because " the payroll clerk wasnt in ". Masters at procrastination, incompetence and disorganisation they should not be your first choice in choosing a company to process your finances. Please do your research and go with a more reputable and comprehensive company or you will be waiting five months to receive a payment, like us...Its now over five months and counting. After phoning disability positive dozens of times, an employee mentioned that they had alot of workload and that our account was in a queue, if this is the case then shouldn't they employ more staff? I wouldn't be surprised if their staff were overworked and poorly paid. Avoid this company at all costs!
