Paid a Lot for No Service

I spent $1200 on a service in August 2024. Initially, my first sample was said to have failed, so I sent in another. Now, 8 months later, they refuse to issue a refund, claiming it is 'processing,' although it's just marked as received and hasn't advanced to DNA extraction. It's essentially frozen.

I've been waiting over four months for results, and the service can't provide any updates on the estimated completion of the sequencing I ordered. This has been a waste of money. If you're reading this, consider using another service, as this one seems either entirely fraudulent or grossly incompetent.

Complete Scam

I placed my order on 3/26/25. By 10/20/25, after numerous emails, a representative informed me they still can't tell me when I'll receive my results. At this point, I suspect the answer is 'never.'

Unacceptable Delay and Lack of Transparency

I ordered a full DNA test over six months ago and still haven't received my results. The service confirmed receipt of my sample and claimed it is processing, but since then, there have been no updates or timelines. Each inquiry gets vague, copy-pasted replies citing 'privacy policies' without any estimated completion time. For a service that claims to provide full genome sequencing, this level of communication and delay is unacceptable. Six months is unreasonable by any standard. I've given the company 14 days to deliver my results or I will escalate the matter to consumer protection and initiate a chargeback. I strongly urge potential customers to think carefully before engaging with this service.

Gifted Kit with Issues

I received a kit as a birthday present in Feb '25, but the sample was mislabeled upon arrival. They sent a replacement kit, which was received at the end of Apr '25, and I’m still in limbo with it marked as 'reprocessing.' I even contacted the CEO, who promised results within a month, but now a month and a half has passed with no updates. It’s disappointing given the association with a notable figure. Edit: Results finally came back, but it was a long wait. I hope the service improves soon.
