We did a 3-week puppy training program with Olivia for our Malinois, Brock, and the results were incredible. She built a strong foundation of obedience, structure, and engagement—exactly what a high-drive breed needs. Brock came back more confident, focused, and eager to work, and Olivia made sure we had clear guidance to continue his training at home. I highly recommend her to anyone starting a Malinois puppy the right way.
I searched online and spoke to many puppy trainers before choosing Dogwise Academy. They were extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to my queries. The trainer, Eddie, was excellent. He picked up our puppy and spent 3 weeks with him. We got numerous updates on his progress. When he came back to us he was changed so much for the better. Was not traumatized at all like I’ve had we previous trainers for my other dogs. I highly recommend Dogwise Academy and will use them for our next puppy.
My dog Nico came back a whole new dog thanks to Mike and Dogwise academy it was such a great experience working with Mike and Sara they are naturally gifted people, Mike took the time to carefully review training with me and my sister and was very patient.. which made my family and I very happy, I got daily updates on my pup’s training and from day one we saw a change , would be definitely sending my new pup off with Mike and Sara again in the future , thank you so much !!
I cannot be more grateful for the progress and change I have seen in my dog Harper. After working with Cal the reactivity he demonstrated is so much less that walking him is a dream compared to before. Cal spent time with us upon drop off working on tools to help with his behavior. Since Harper has been back he has done so well on walks that we are know both looking forward to them. We can’t thank Cal enough!
We had an amazing experience with our puppy training! Our trainer Rina was incredibly knowledgeable and also genuinely passionate about working with dogs. Our puppy responded very well to her techniques and showed so much progress in two short weeks. Rina addressed all of our concerns (biting, crate training, potty training, leash pulling and more). Rina sent videos and updates throughout our puppy’s stay which we appreciated greatly and you could tell our puppy was very happy to be there and having a great time. Rina spent almost 2 hours with us at drop off and helped us with learning all the commands to ensure we keep up with the training. This was a great experience and would definitely recommend Rina and Dog Wise Academy!
Rina is very knowledgeable and patient. She made sure to regularly send me pictures and videos of his progress and is great at coming up with a routine that will work around your schedule. They regularly check in to ensure your dog is doing well. He used to lose ot when he saw other dogs and people on walks, but now he keeps walking with minimal reaction.

Cal was hands down one of the best trainers I have experienced and had the pleasure of entrusting Ghost, my Malinois with. He was extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and made a night and day difference with my hyperactive baby, especially correcting wrongs that a previous trainer had instilled on her. Definitely will be working with Cal exclusively in the future and creating an awesome relationship with him and his dogs to further train my dog, as well as myself as a parent. Can not express how good Cal was!
Dogwise Academy connected us to Cal at South River k'9s to train our then 8 month old miniature Bernedoodle, Harper. Cal was communicative from the start, taking time to understand Harper’s personality and our goals. Throughout the program, he sent regular video updates that helped us follow Harper’s progress and learn the commands ourselves. Harper came back well-socialized and responsive to basic commands, and Cal offered a lot of clear guidance on how to maintain the training when he brought her back home. Five weeks later, Harper is still doing well and we're planning a few follow-up sessions with Cal. We’d recommend Cal to anyone looking for a solid foundation—for both the dog and the owners!
