Review Time
The most incompetent people i have ever worked with. On 5th of June my partners have finished preparing holiday site, finished renovation and all. And since then we trying to get that site signed off for exploitation. So now it's more then 2 months and there's no progress done.
We are loosing around 40k a month only because we can't open it up for public. This people for first 7 weeks, booked 4 inspection dates and didn't bothered to attend any of them.
So how i found out council didn't even bothered to let building controls department to know that there's appointments for inspection booked.
I have filed in complaint about that. And as i didn't had full details of the site. I gave them name of our agent, to check requests in the office. So this people so incompetent that they couldn't understand that the agent that works for us, is not their employee. And closed my complaint ticked because there's no one with that name works in their office.
Couple days ago i sent them clarification that our agent is not their employee (i'm shocked that i have to even say such a thing), provided them with her phone number, asked them to contact her and get all details needed. So what answer i'm getting in return? PERSON WITH THIS NAME DON'T WORK AT THE OFFICE!!!!
This is beyond incompetence, this is straight forward negligence. I'M SHOCKED HOW THIS COUNCIL OPERATES.

Used their bulky waste removal service which is a great facility. Simple to book/pay online. Their representative Tommy rang within a day and gave me a date. They were there on the day and removed the stuff (old bed and mattress) most efficiently
Two parking ticket machines out of order... Clampers were just around the corner waiting to clamp cars first thing in the morning. Pointed to them that both parking machines are out of order and their reply was :'' find another one '' and '' go online ''... And '' it is another company looking after the machines, can't do anything about it... 'So, Dublin City Council makes a fortune on parking but has no consideration for the public, making sure that paying for parking on Dublin streets is accessible and available... Not to mention the atitudine of the Clampers :'' kings of the city''...Very disappointing for an European capital.I know Dublin City Council won't bother about my review as their budget is secured from public money and who am I to complain about the all mighty City Council but I felt like sharing my experience...
Very dishonest and cant be trusted with peoples health or lives etc, we have lived in dublin city council house in north strand for 8 years, we thought it was great to get a house in same area out of council flats, we didnt know it would be the worst 8 years ,with stress of everytime it rains to be worried about been flooded every year in that house, multiple problems and stressed, so we applied to get a transfer, got medical priority my stepdad did, with lots of stress and years to to get, then council man that showed us this current apartment in dublin 3,he said we wouldnt get another house and more or less was forced us into taking this apartment, it look all ok at 1st, new paint job and looked spacious enough at the time as no furnuture in it etc, so we took it, anything to get out of the old house that was a flood zone etc, but after awhile here, even months, mould, damp came out on walls inside our bedrooms, my clothes in wardrobes etc all mouldy, had to throw alot out, council no help, we are here 7 years still fighthing council for help etc, we lost medical priority because we accepted this place ,only this year we got new windows, inside 1 wall in each bedroom only insulated plaster board, still no help, still freezing cold flat and mouldy air etc, unhealthy for us to live in, we have been getting worse health ever since we moved in here 7 years ago fact. ive had to buy anti mould paint for the walls, but its still in the air, my clothes etc stil get mould on them in bedrooms, im breathing this in aswel while living here, im like an 80 year old man health wise compared to 41 year old i am now as i write this on christmas day, very depressing and stressful ,chronic cough and phlegm all year round no matter what we do here, condensation constantly on windows in bedrooms mostly in mornings ,even opening windows doesnt help either, we have wall vents open all year round, insulation polystyring beads was pumped into building walls after we moved in aswel, blocked up the vents, i had to clean them out of the vents myself,have pics and videos of everything,but the building has problems, cracks, in outside and inside walls etc, rain water etc getting into building i beleive is causing these problems, gutters and shored blocked etc,council wont address them properly etc,we are waiting on new gutters, takes years and stress and fights to get anything done.outside electrical lights on side of building fill up with water and flash on and off at nite,so water getting into walls etc ,building is over a cold lots of vents basement so our floors and flat is freezing ,cant hold heat etc, no ground heat etc,no storage useable space in apartment either, attic has false ceiling so cant put any heavy items up there, cant stand up there either only 3 foot high etc, has mould on things up there to, its not the way we ive either, council blames people on breathing and cooking and laundry and showers etc, but thats not the real cause at all, we never had this problem anywhere else we breathed in etc.all we want is a healthy and happier place to live etc, a house with a garden in quiet area etc would be great but so hard to get ,we are on transfer list but 1200 people before us on the list so we dont have a hope in getting a transfer and a swap hard to get a match aswel .
The absolute worst - just look at the state of the city they are responsible for! They speak to their service users with utter contempt. I feel so sorry for the elderly and vulnerable who are their tenants having to interact with them. They are not fit for purpose. A thorough investigation into that local authority is desperately needed.
