Initially, my experience with Easyvet was positive. However, when I tried to cancel my monthly subscription, I discovered it was actually a year commitment. I read the flyer they provided top to bottom as well as their website and no where on either does it mention the year subscription is $540. I was already paying more than what I wanted to at $45 a month when I could have gotten pet insurance for $30 a month with more benefits. The benefits Easyvet provides is only for basic care. If your animal has any additional problems then they give you a 10% discount. At no point was I informed of their policies for this “monthly subscription”. The family member who recommended this place mentioned they had to ask an employee to explain the monthly plan to them which then they decided the $200 a yr plan was better. This is shady and as of today they have not been able to provide me anything in writing to confirm the policy of the plan I have been paying $45 a month for.I have had other frustrations with this business but I just thought it was my fault since I am a first time cat owner. My cat initially tested positive for giardia. At the time we had another cat that was a stray but he was negative for worms. At my cat’s next check up, he tested positive for Cryptosporidium. It was confusing where he got it since he didn’t test for it before but the vet staff informed us he could have not tested for it before because of the other worms. However it was still weird how he tested positive for it out of nowhere and apparently it can only be transmitted through other animals/food. Since we are first time cat owners so we asked the vet what to do and we were told we can keep our cats together but for them to not eat/drink or go into each other’s litter boxes. We then had them do supervised playtime for a few hours a day. We treated him for 2 weeks(2x a day). He continued to test positive for 5 months. We would ask the vet if we should completely separate them since he keeps testing positive but every time they said we don’t have to. (Also our other cat caught crypto as well but was able to get it treated in 2 weeks). After the first 2 months of testing positive we went full lockdown for him. He would be quarantined in our bedroom and as before we continued to scoop his litter daily, clean out his litter box every week (bleach, sanitize, hot water, new litter), wash out his bowl, and even tape the bottom of our door so the cats couldn’t interact through the bottom of the door. We went as far as cleaning his paws after he used the litter box and even mopping the floors as often as we could because (even though we don’t wear shoes in the house) we thought somehow our shoes were tracking in germs from the outside. He continued to test positive for worms until March or April when the we called the vet and they informed us they will stop Mango’s treatment since it can be dangerous for him to take anymore medicine but to wait 6 months and they will treat him again. They couldn’t give an answer on why he continued to test positive for Cryptosporidium. At this point I was tired of paying $45 a month for a 10% discount on $80 worm tests so I decided to cancel the subscription and get a second opinion. To note when he tested positive again for worms in December they gave us meds and told us to retest him in March so I paid $135 for my cat to not see the vet. Also a family member who goes here, their cats tested positive for Cryptosporidium and was able to treat for it within 2 weeks. Initially we thought it was from the cats being outside on their 3rd floor balcony/catio but I now know what each one of our cats has in common, a vet.The cleanliness, the family member and I have decided to move to another vet after we started discussing our concerns. The office is small w/ reception area and a hallway that leads to small rooms/cubicles that have an exam table, a singular chair. I used to be happy with how quickly we were lead to a room but I noticed when we left they never wiped down the exam table or anything else.Beware of this place..
The vet was very thorough and easy to speak to. Unfortunately, my internet wasn't working so she wasn't able to get a visual on my pets and she had told me I would have to go to the vet anyway and get the problems examined. She was able to answer several of my other questions though. Otherwise, I like the service.
Both times we have gone to Easy Pet Vets, the veterinarian has be kind, helpful, and good with my animals. Unfortunately, appointments make no difference. I have sat there over an hour and a half past the appointment times because it is treated as first come, first served. This is extremely frustrating. Secondly, they advertise as “affordable”. While everything is relative, I have not found their prices to be any lower than other vets in the area.
My dog is 85 pounds and very rowdy, so for a small woman like me, wrangling him to the car and keeping him under control at the vet office is a challenge. I really liked that not only did I not have to do that, but I was able to speak to a vet within 30 minutes of my request. He had developed a rash on vacation, and the vet was able to see him via video and asked a lot of questions to make sure they had all of the appropriate information. Was able to quickly determine issue was due to excessive / variety of people food given to him during out trip.
I am a new dog mom to a senior rescue. Not having much experience with dogs, I was experiencing a lot of stress due to Rocky's several different symptoms over time and the high cost of vets and time to take him. I am so thankful for Easy Pet Vets and being able to have affordable and on-demand consultation when needed. Rocky is so happy and healthy now making me one happy mom too!
