Loved how easy Enact made something that is usually so difficult. The system is excellent and keeps you updated and all the staff I've spoken to have been well informed, happy to answer the daftest questions and nothing has been an issue for them.
I will always try to use the Enact system going forward and have no hesitation in recommending it.

I actually can't think of anything that went right when we're using them. They didn't prompt us when something was outstanding, they denied receiving documents until we showed the tracking, we call up and speak to different people and get different information, and when you're trying to get to the bottom of things they're just rude. Literally the worst conveyancing company I've ever used.

Halifax have made the fantastic decision to outsource my remortgage process to this appalling company. I'm half-minded to invoice them for the therapy costs this will inevitably result in.

Why so bad? Let me count the ways.

They are rude and unhelpful — refusing to speak to you if you dare use speakerphone to check the complex details they demand, just to verify your identity. They call repeatedly and demand immediate action, yet take days to respond to your own questions. The online portal appears to have been designed by Kafka himself, and the legalistic jargon is so impenetrable that even my lawyer partner has no idea what they're asking for.

When you do eventually get through to someone (who, on one memorable occasion, appeared to be standing outside in the wind), they don't seem to know what they're asking for either. On a single call I received two contradictory answers to every question I raised. Wonderful.

And best of all? They'll probably charge me for submitting this review. Have you seen the fee schedule? You'll be billed for breathing next.

In summary: this is a company that perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with financial services in 2026 — happy to take, take, take, but utterly unwilling to respect or listen to its customers. An absolute disgrace.

Significant delays and lack of communication

We have encountered significant delays and a lack of communication throughout this entire process. Since 6 October, we have been waiting to finalize our house, with little to no substantial progress. We were informed that the case was escalated to a senior representative, but there were no changes or improvements. Updates were scarce and often needed to be pursued, adding unnecessary stress to an already challenging situation. Given our experience, I cannot recommend this service to anyone.
