We bought a bungalow with solar panels on the roof, a good thing we thought. This has turned into a major headache, as E.on are at present refusing to transfer, them on the fit register, into our name. Despite the fact I have provided them with all the paperwork we have on the purchase of the bunglow and more besides, proof of identity, address, bank details. E.on keep comming back saying silly things like they don't know my full name, they don't have the vendors full name. They want us to have legal documents change, as they don't contain the information they require in the correct format. Yet our bungalow purchase was all done through a solicitor and the correct legal process. I am so distressed buy this process, which has been going on for 6 months now, I am considering having the panels removed.
I have experienced exceptional financial difficulty and personal issues over the years. On my way to getting straight Eon are the only company I owe.
I had a conversation with an agent in their "specialist team" over three weeks ago.
We set a course of action for me to complete and send in a financial statement via step change which I did on the same day.
Since then I have sent three emails and left 3 messages for the agent and she has not had the courtesy to return my calls or respond to information received which she had asked for.
All I am now receiving is a bombardment of emails and texts demanding payment and asking for a meter reading!!
I've had enough of this deplorable company and their non existent customer focus!! I've had enough!!!!!!!!??!!!
Eon energy are Britain's most unhelpful company. Their website doesn't have a "speak to us" section, although if it does, it is very well hidden. I am a disabled pensioner trying to struggle along by myself. I need to URGENTLY speak to EON but there is no one to speak to. I am at my wits end. I really do not know where to go from here and I do not know how to change supplier.
I switched to a new provider after my tenant moved out, expecting a quick transition and gas meter activation. Unfortunately, this has not occurred, and it seems like the staff are not prioritizing my gas restoration. The property is getting quite cold, and I've been informed that it could take a month to resolve the meter setup issues.
After reading many negative reviews, I can confirm they are accurate. Taking over an account from a previous tenant, I faced exorbitant bills despite minimal usage. Communication with representatives has been frustrating, as they often insist on estimates instead of accepting my readings. Even after a credit to my account was reversed, the service remained unsatisfactory. I am switching providers and have filed a formal complaint.
This feels like a legal scam! For a small flat, I was charged an outrageous amount for electricity. Despite raising a complaint years ago, nothing was done. Now, I’m stuck with a CCJ from them and unable to move. I will escalate this formally if I don't receive a prompt response. I definitely do not recommend this provider.
While my service was satisfactory when I provided manual readings, since getting a smart meter and setting up a Direct Debit, my bills and statements have been consistently late, and my usage information is inaccurate. It feels like the company has lost interest now that I’m on Direct Debit. I'm concerned about potentially receiving a large bill and may revert to monthly payments.
Businesses should think carefully before choosing this provider, especially outside of major cities. They rely on third-party contractors, leading to long wait times for service restoration. They are quick to take payments but slow to respond to issues.
