Review Time
Been using it for about two months now. No major complaints. The screen is holding up well and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time. I charge it maybe once every two weeks. It does exactly what I need it to do and doesn’t push updates all the time like some other wallets.
I am not a power user and I don't follow every crypto update. I just wanted something that would let me store my eth and btc securely without needing to plug anything into my computer. Era wallet does that perfectly. It's clean, safe and doesn't overcomplicate things.
The build quality is better than I expected. It feels solid in the hand and the screen is really sharp for something that doesn't even have a battery indicator or fancy graphics. I have used it for daily test transactions for a week and everything was consistent. Also the QR scan system works fast and didn't fail once.
Support replied fast when I had a question about firmware updates. Very friendly and helpful. I got the update installed with no problems and I'm now using the wallet daily with my main ETH wallet. I feel safer having it fully offline. No Bluetooth and no USB is a big plus for me.
Era wallet showed up well packed and included a printed guide which I actually used. The onboarding flow was short and clear. I appreciate that there’s no account creation or software to install. It stay offline and keeps things simple. I have only used it for Bitcoin so far but everything worked as expected.
I found era through a reddit thread and decided to give it a try. What I liked immediately was that I didn't need to trust any cloud services or app installatuons. The device works by itself and signs everything offile. The backuo process with the card takes a few steos but it feels well thoight out. I'll probably get another one as a cold backup.
I liked the idea of no seed phrase and that’s what pushed me to buy ERA. It took me a little bit to wrap my head around the Recovery Card concept but once I finished the setup it felt very solid. I haven’t used all the features yet but the basics work great and I like the keyboard a lot more than swipe or tap systems.
