Every time over the past year I visit this petrol station and pay at the pump there is never any paper in the pump to print a receipt. You can’t even do a reprint on another pump as none have paper. So you then go in and queue up to get to the cashier to print a receipt. I have spoken to staff and managers to no avail. A frustrating waste of time.

I was charged twice for the same fuel purchase after the cashier insisted the first payment was only “pending,” despite my explaining that it had already been taken. As expected, both payments later fully completed.When I contacted the store to resolve this, staff were unhelpful and refused to provide their name. I was told I must wait two weeks for a new bank statement before a refund could even be considered, despite this not being a legal requirement and despite clear evidence that the payment had been taken twice.The cashier’s attitude was rude and dismissive, and no one on shift appeared competent or willing to deal with the issue appropriately when it arose.A simple duplicate transaction issue was handled poorly from start to finish. I would strongly advise against using this location.
Ordered a product on Amazon and these were the supplier. Wrong product sent so tried to contact them to resolve the issue. Provided images of material sent as requested and never heard anything back. Over a week later I am still waiting despite trying to make contact. Absolute sharks !
Of all the apps that I've ever used, this has to be the worst. Initially, when I first used it, the app was great, but after a significant upgrade, it has been a considerable disaster. It's slow, it's faulty, and it has charged my credit card 3 times for a single fill of petrol, which I ended up paying for with a debit card. It took so long at the station forecourt to try to access the app that I could have filled my car over and over. My wife estimated over 10 minutes we sat trying to connect, the kiosk operator estimated 20 minutes, and he told me that it is the most complained-about item he's ever experienced with nearly every customer who used it, deleting it from their phone, which I am going to do once I get this billing sorted out.
Despite the update, the app still only supports "pay at pump" completely randomly - sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't. Payment methods are rejected and when paying in person, because the app doesn't work, no e-receipt is provided. It may be that the app is OK, but the digital infrastructure behind it is completely hopeless. Go to Shell, it is far more reliable.
Esso customer service is shocking. I tried to pay through the app on the 15th December and the payment failed. It has been pending since. I have tried to contact esso customer service but they're very slow on replies. My bank are saying because they haven't claimed the payment I have to wait 31 days to get it back. All I need is proof from them but it's impossible to get that proof quickly.
Used the app to fuel up it had taken £100 for £68 of fuel and not returned the difference. Help line closes at 4pm. So effectively they have defrauded me £30 or 30 % will be using other services from now on. If I drove off without paying they'd be all over me.
The old UK Esso app was not fit for purpose, the new app even less so. I fuelled my car and the Esso app gave me my money back citing "inactivity". I have a screenshot.I've tried to alert Esso but their customer service people won't alert higher management and say I should contact my bank - why ? My credit card records show all transactions faithfully.The cashier at my usual petrol station said it had happened to another customer.The app is giving away money but the people responding to me are not bringing it to the attention of higher management.
