I booked a hotel stay via Etihad holidays & had not read the reviews, once I made the booking I realised my payment had come out twice (internet connection issue) and it had created 2 bookings. This was confirmed the next day when I received 2 separate booking emails & ID’s (booking confirmation took around 12 hours to arrive which they advise you will be the case when you’re booking). I immediately emailed to inform Etihad Holidays of the error, they were very quick to email me back & cancel one of the bookings and issue a refund.
I contacted the hotel the same day and they confirmed only 1 bookings remained live and they had all the correct booking details for us.
The refund itself took 4 weeks to appear in my account, however I did not chase the company & was fine with this.
Overall very happy with the service provided and my interaction with customer care was efficient and professional.
Horrendous, do not book!Etihad Holidays is an embarrassment to themselves. Quick to take money and then radio silence and when something goes wrong. I made a complaint a month and a half ago and despite it being escalated to seniors, I've heard nothing. Not even an acknowledgement of the serious issues expressed on holiday.Will never book with this company again. Horrendous, avoid!

Saw a deal we liked for £5,000 booked Immediately I felt something was offWe received no confirmation for hours and hours which is unusual So I tried emailing The email bounced back Then finally got confirmation but it looked off and the room information wasn’t correct Waited another day contacted the actual hotel ourselves to be told we have no reservation for you, contacted Etihad airline to be told we have no reservation for you Panic set in I asked my husband to report the transaction as fraud immediately Called the number for Etihad holidays a woman answered as I was explaining I was reporting them for fraud she very quickly said we will refund us. Got an email saying we will refund you It’s been 5 days still funds not returned yet but the bank is still showing as pending We need the funds back to book with a legit company So do not trust this company
Do not use this company, their customer service is inexistant. After months of calling them having lodged a complaint they have not even responded once. I am not referring to a final complaint resolution, literally they have ignored emails, and multiple telephone calls, so I will be contacting the regulator. Their service is literally dismal and you should avoid using them. They lied to me about the state of the beach in Dubai for a property by the beach which, whose beach was totally inaccessible due to work being carried out. The fact that they have completely ignored a complaint failing to adhere to standard complain regulation about responding within 28 days (at the latest) shows that they cannot be trusted.
Extremely disappointed with Etihad Holidays. Despite repeated calls and multiple emails, I received little to no communication. This caused significant stress, especially as this was a family holiday with an 18-month-old child.I asked to speak with a team leader, Maria, who never responded. David said he would return my calls but didn’t. I also escalated the issue to the General Manager, Ranj Kundi, and still received no response.Unacceptable service and very stressful experience. I would not recommend Etihad Holidays based on this experience.
They expect payment in full with ONE card. Please don’t book via Etihad Holidays if, like me, you wish to use a debit card and a credit card to pay! Who has £6000 via one payment method? They do not allow instalments either. If you want to book with them then you need to have the funds in full, in one account despite the website saying there are multiple options, there aren’t, not unless you live in UAE. If you’re from the UK then you pay the small deposit then they expect the rest in full with one card.
Booked a holiday on 31st Oct with Etihad holidays without checking the reviews. Once I’d booked I then noticed how bad the reviews were and started to panic.It was late Friday so their call centre was shut and we were due to fly the next day.The next morning I called at 10am and within 10 minutes all my confirmation and tickets were sent through and our holiday was absolutely brilliant.I just thought i’d write a review due to the bad reviews i’ve read for this company and it only seemed fair to share my experience because we had no issues whatsoever.
I have been looking at Maldives holidays for the past week or so, had the option to select business class flights whilst researching , you have now changed website and have removed that option of choosing business class which is a shame as I like to know price before I book. Go back to old website where business class was available to book as part of package holiday.
Flight cancelled so took an additional day to get to Abu Dhabi. When we finally arrived at Abu Dhabi airport, the transfer that we had booked and paid for wasn’t there so we had to pay for a taxi to the hotel. The hotel wasn’t informed of the delay so had let our room go as they classed us as a “no show’. The hotel then charged us more for the room they did have available. First two days of the holiday were ruined as we hadn’t slept for 30 hours. I contacted Etihad Holidays more or less immediately and did get a reply saying they’d look into the issues and get back to me within 28 days. Despite numerous emails to them it is now 3 months down the line and still no progress. For a cancelled flight with a delay longer than 4 hours there is a standard compensation structure that all airlines adhere to but even this hasn’t been forthcoming from them. Use them at your own peril. If nothing goes wrong you’ll be fine but if it does… you have been warned…
