I had a frustrating experience with Eventbrite recently. I purchased a ticket for an event that was ultimately cancelled, and when I requested a refund, it was denied based on their refund policy. This raises a serious concern: the current system appears to allow organisers to collect ticket revenue, postpone or cancel their events, and face no financial accountability to attendees. It is difficult to trust a platform that prioritises organisers over the people buying tickets. I will not be using Eventbrite again.

Honestly, I wish I could write them zero stars because the app is next to useless as whenever you try to alter something or change something or adjust something it flashes up as a fault every time and then when you try to ask for help you get stupid answers like you need to fill it in properly or you need to add in all the information like you’re a complete moron and haven’t done what you needed to do and the problem is a technical issue on their side and nothing you have done.
Even for a charity event their fees are ridiculous per ticket for doing what because it is not as though they actually do anything you put in all of the information and they just posted it and for that you get charged a fortune for every ticket even for a charity event.
You can’t change anything with any ease at all. You literally go round in circles trying to find what you need and nothing at all is logical or makes any sense quite frankly.
Honestly, I wouldn’t ever use them again and I wish I had seen these reviews before I use them this time because my experience is at best shockingly bad!!

Very bad experience. Their customer service is really bad. The platform they use to sell the ticks is a scam aswell.
I purchased tickets on that platform for a sydney event and they directed me to Melbourne event and I only come to know that after the payment. And after contacting them few times back and forth eventbrite and the event organiser post nights. They both say the other can do something about it and neither of them help. On top of that they asking me to sell the ticks in Melbourne. Clearly they are unable to do the job. So asking me to. It wasn’t my fault, their website is directed the wrong way and not refunding the ticks now. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service they have.
They stop as wrong the calls after a while.

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience.

I purchased tickets in advance, arrived on time, and waited in line for over an hour — in freezing cold weather. While standing there, I asked the staff at Muzique for assistance, and I was clearly told to contact Eventbrite directly. There was no cooperation or support at the venue.

While still in line, I emailed Eventbrite because there was no help on-site.

My tickets were NEVER scanned. I did not enter the event. I did not receive the service I paid for.

Despite this, Eventbrite refused to issue a refund.

If tickets are never validated or scanned, how can a refund be denied? This shows a serious lack of coordination and accountability. Customers should not lose money because the platform and organizer fail to manage entry properly.

Money is collected instantly, yet when something goes wrong, there is no real refund support or buyer protection.

After this experience, it is difficult to understand how so many positive reviews reflect reality.

Very disappointing. Paying customers deserve fairness and accountability.

I was expressly assured that my advertising expenditure would generate between 40% and 160% more attendees for my event. In reliance on these representations, I invested in excess of $400 in Eventbrite’s paid advertising for a single event and, in return, received only one ticket sale attributable to an Eventbrite-generated lead, in the amount of $45.

Upon discovering this gross disparity between the promised results and the actual outcome, I promptly demanded an explanation and requested at least a partial refund commensurate with the clear lack of performance and reasonable return on investment. Eventbrite refused to provide any relief whatsoever, effectively disclaiming responsibility for the representations made in connection with its advertising services.

In my professional opinion, these practices appear to constitute deceptive and misleading marketing, potentially rising to the level of unlawful and fraudulent inducement under applicable consumer protection and advertising laws. I strongly caution any prospective customer against expending funds on Eventbrite’s advertising products, as the performance claims made to me were not merely unsubstantiated, but dangerously close to being criminally misleading.

Extremely disappointed with this service.

I would rate this venue a 0 if possible. This service is terrible, and I strongly recommend against purchasing tickets. We bought 2 tickets in November for $107.00, but the show was canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances." They provided a link to request a refund, which I did, but I've heard nothing since. We initiated a dispute with my credit card provider, which is still unresolved. They are denying my refund, even though they canceled the event, not us. Avoid buying tickets from this company!

Disappointing New Year Celebration at the Venue

The New Year party at the venue was extremely disappointing! There were long lines for unappetizing snacks, and every bar was overcrowded. By 11 PM, they had run out of several types of liquor and mixers. It wasn't worth the experience, and I won't be returning. I recommend avoiding this event.

Untrustworthy service

This service is highly untrustworthy. I paid for two tickets to a canceled show, and despite multiple calls, they refuse to refund my money. This dishonesty is unacceptable, and I plan to report them to the relevant authorities. They need to be held accountable for their actions.

One star is too generous...

One star feels overly generous. We purchased tickets to see our son in a Thanksgiving parade, arriving early to find about 20 people ahead of us. Once the venue opened, those individuals quickly occupied the limited viewing space, leaving us unable to see anything. Given the amount we spent, everyone should have had a decent spot. There weren’t enough tables for the crowd, and we ended up not eating because we were disappointed that we couldn’t see our son’s once-in-a-lifetime march. We resorted to standing outside where others who spent nothing had a better view. After catching a glimpse of him, we returned to find very little food left. The eggs were runny and the bacon undercooked, with a lackluster selection overall. A dreadful experience. Save your money; I’ll be sharing this on social media to warn others. Terrible!

I felt completely ripped off

I was sold $399 premium outdoor front row seats for a parade event but received indoor seats far from the action. We were positioned about 20 feet away and surrounded by a crowd, making it impossible to see anything. The provided snacks and drinks were subpar and did not match the advertised 'premium' experience. This service was a total scam, costing me $800. I’m appalled that such practices are allowed.
