Was told that the cost to talk to an expert would be £1 that will be refunded at the very end £22 was taken from my PayPal account then the £1. I didn’t even get a response from the expert who I paid £1 for. The £22 is in fact a monthly subscription. Cancelled
Thought I was dealing with Shein customer service and agreed to pay $1'but when I checked my Bank account the amount of $65;had been deducted Have contacted Expert Squad and canceled futurev payments to them Why does Paypal deal with this fraudulent company They're scammers
I was informed I would be charged $1, but instead, I was billed $60! I noticed this right away and questioned the representative, who assured me I would receive an IMMEDIATE REFUND. That turned out to be a complete falsehood, and he was aware of it! I reached out three times, and the response was essentially 'TOO BAD.' What happened to the promise of a refund? Just disregarded! This service is NOT as 'transparent' as they claim, and they are fully aware of it. $60 for nothing. AVOID THIS SCAM!
Like many others, I was under the impression that a £1 fee was charged for advice regarding a coffee machine. Unfortunately, I received no helpful guidance. Instead, I've discovered that I'm being billed £22 monthly for a service I never asked for. This situation feels very wrong. The one-star rating is solely for the prompt refund of the £67 I was charged. Be cautious with this company and its practices!
Quick and super helpful, but they took £35 from my account and signed me up as a subscriber without authorisation. It’s a scam! I only authorised £1. I asked for a refund which has apparently happened but the amount of the refund has not been stated. I will be reporting them via PayPal. They have cancelled my subscription- but I don’t trust them.
I tried to chat with iD mobile, online chat only. I was then directed to Expert Squad. To continue my chat with them I was asked to pay £1. For this nominal fee I thought, " ok, fair enough, I will pay that". I instantly got a message from my bank showing that the transaction had occurred. This was immediately followed by another payment of £35! This was for a subscription to them WHICH I HAD NOT REQUESTED. Now, I have looked on Trust Pilot for reviews of Expert Squad and this seems to happen a lot. I have also see their responses to other comments such as mine and they say worlds to the effect of ' the subscription option is clearly stated on our page'.NO IT ISN'T! IT IS NOT CLEAR AT ALL that you are subscribing to them. This is a scam and is obviously how they make their money. They trick people into subscribing to them. There must be many people who have subscribed and don't even realise it. They're probably paying that £35 every month without even realising. This company need to make it VERY OBVIOUS that people aren't just paying £11. But of course they won't because this is how they make their money. SCAM SCAM SCAM. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.They say they are refunding me ( let's see if they do) but that's not the point. It's DECEITFUL practice. They get away with this by mentioning a subscription somewhere on the page in an insignificant corner. People don't read it because they think they are just paying £1 to continue a chat. DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR. No wonder the woman on the phone sounded fed up when I complained and demanded a refund . She must be inundated with calls from other people who have been scammed. By the way, I gave them one star because I can't see an option for no stars at all.I should get compensation for wasting my time and incurring cost on my phone, Never mind just getting a refund. If I get one at all. I better had or there will be trouble.
