I contacted the center to exchange the battery. The battery was exchanged and I was told that the alternator is faulty and doesn't charge the battery. Well, bigger problem more expensive. I was also told there is a place in Hamilton that regenerate alternators... Not clear about the price, roughly 3 days waiting... I went to other mechanic...Alternator was all OK, all charging battery ordered, delivered and fitted in 2 hrs. 40£ less than the quote...
Took my car to Farmer Autocare at Marchmont, Edinburgh with a puncture in one of the rear tyres. I did not have to book and they repaired the tyre within the hour. Best thing though is my delight to be told there was no charge for the repair.
The facility provides excellent customer service and features a customer waiting area that includes a complimentary heated drink station. Additionally, customers have the opportunity to observe mechanics working on their vehicles. The only observation is whether they can put paper covering on the driver's floor while driving your vehicle in and out of the service area to stop grease and oil from their safety boots from being deposited on the carpet.
I visited the local centre to have the front tyres on my van replaced, and the team there was outstanding. They completed the job in a flash — faster than a pit stop! The service was fantastic from beginning to end. I highly recommend them.
I brought my vehicle in for its MOT today. The branch manager and all staff were very friendly, and the seating area was cozy with fantastic hot chocolate. Booking an appointment online was a breeze. Highly recommend this garage for their reliability and efficiency.
